Reading loads of rumours about Loftus-Cheek and whilst he doesn’t seem to have ruled out a move, would we be interested?

I love the guy. Won loads of awards as a youth and looks to be developing into the player Barkley never become.

1.) 23 Jun 2018 12:23:57
I would take him all day long.

2.) 23 Jun 2018 12:31:05
I would sign him up mate.

3.) 23 Jun 2018 12:38:12
I’d take him all day long as well Bluey every day of the week.

4.) 23 Jun 2018 13:30:06
Yeah would be a good addition. Wouldn't come cheap with the Chelsea tax added on.

5.) 23 Jun 2018 17:45:57
No such thing as cheap in 2018 yawn.

6.) 23 Jun 2018 17:59:18
Yeah, but how cool would it be if we signed him when Chelsea are left with Barkley.

7.) 23 Jun 2018 22:22:12
If he was available and he was interested, I’m sure we would be too. If he’s available, a lot of other teams would be keen also. Would be a huge deal if it came off. The lad’s quality.

8.) 24 Jun 2018 11:37:29
I'm guessing he will see how the manager situation at Chelsea pans out before making any decisions. Maybe one for January or a late loan.

9.) 25 Jun 2018 11:51:41
Think he's a quality player - but isn't our problem too many no 10s / centre mids?

We need to sign players who fit the system and provide balance across the squad, not just for their quality - otherwise we will make the same mistakes as last summer.

{Ed002's Note - Only one side has approached Chelsea about RLC and it is not Everton.}

Everyone seems to be up for the idea of keeping Keane in the “ideal” starting 11 for next season. is he actually good enough? The last two weeks I’ve seen him he has been pretty poor.

Prior to those last two games I thought he was pretty solid and was expecting him to be high on confidence, but those last two games say otherwise.

I think I would be offering him a way out tbf. If he says no, he shows he’s committed then by all means stay, he’s showing the minerals I want to see. But something says to me that he would consider leaving us at the first opportunity.

I don’t know. I’m not sure he’s quite good enough. Would he get into any of the teams that finished above us? I’m not sure he would.

JDEJones

1.) 15 May 2018 10:51:42
I so want him to be good.
But in truth, he’s been pretty poor all season.
The Arnautovic goal on Sunday really showed him up.
Perhaps in time, in a confident squad, he’d improve?

2.) 15 May 2018 12:11:51
How many players impressed this season. He's only 25 which is still young for a centre back. Deserves at least one more season as he undoubtedly will improve with time given the right circumstances.

3.) 15 May 2018 12:48:51
Agreed, he’s not one I’d ship out. Whether he’s 1st choice will depend on the quality of who we bring in - some competition might do him good!

4.) 15 May 2018 13:34:27
Centre Halves need to be you strongest players mentally and I don't know if Keanes got the confidence or strength.

5.) 15 May 2018 22:42:23
Some CBs can't manage to be the main man. But work well when partnered with a really dominating, strong CB.

I think if we can find a captain type leader to slot in next to him, to bark at him all game, he will show he is worthy of a starting spot.

If all went smoothly he was meant to enjoy a safe season taking tips from the finishing Williams and Jags. He was meant to be the understudy but ended up being the main man and that's really thrown him under the bus.

I'm not worried about Keane, we need 2 new CBs cos I'd assume Williams is gone, Jags likely too but could be good for cover? Funes is surely toast and will be off too. The new CBs need to be 1st 11 material not ones for the future. A couple of 28 year old men required.

Heard today that Allardyce has a meeting in London with Moshiri.

Would love to be a fly on the wall.

99% of fans hoping it’s to advise that he won’t be needed next season.

Reality, it could be to discuss transferred?

What do people think?

JDEJones

1.) 24 Apr 2018 20:36:08
I think Sam will try sweet talking him into believing he is doing a wonderful job, and that if we buy four more defensive midfielders for next season, then we will win the league.

2.) 25 Apr 2018 08:18:27
I think Mr Moshiri will tell him the truth mate.

3.) 25 Apr 2018 14:42:06
We hope so GB.

God I've got a lot to say this morning. also I've heard a few people saying that Ross is glad to be back with the team and people whispering he's looking at his contract again.

I have had other saying that Ross is glad to be back training and is looking to show the world he's fit again in order to get a move away.

I've now just seen that spurs have published the kit numbers and number 8 has been left free, spurs fans were expecting the number to go to another squad member but are saying that it's actually been reserved for Barkley.

I wish I could just get in the boys head for a minute, make him wake up and realise what he's doing!

Yes Is a an excellent contribution for Everton football club. Freeing up some space and making way for Someone else. Really good of him. Boy did good.

2.) 12 Aug 2017 11:37:19
Not sure what reaction Ross would get signing a contract at this time. I think it's too late for most fans and the only benefit would be we would get a higher transfer fee in January.

3.) 12 Aug 2017 12:02:51
I think he would certainly need to apologise for his behaviour and the behaviour of his 'advisers'. That said if he proved he was fully committed to the club and gave his all on the pitch each weekend then I, for one, would get behind him.

4.) 12 Aug 2017 13:33:07
I'd be behind him the moment he pulls on the shirt leave the negativity to the others fans.

5.) 12 Aug 2017 13:49:05
I'm with you Southern Toffee.

6.) 12 Aug 2017 17:59:53
I do love Ross, but think he has gone, wish him well.

7.) 12 Aug 2017 18:14:00
Interesting to watch the schenanegins at Tottenham over low wages be interested to see what Ross is expecting having turned down £120k a week.

8.) 12 Aug 2017 22:20:19
Regards the number 8 being empty at Spurs that has been empty since Ryan Mason left so I wouldn't read into it being empty currently it's been empty a while.

Today is the first day I’ve been excited about everton again for months on end!

SA done his job, I supported him whilst he was part of our club but his comments yesterday at the managers awards were disrespectful. again!

I would quite like Arteta next season but looks like he’s favourite for arsenal.

I just hope an announcement is made on the new manager quickly so that we can start to shorten the list of candidates the new gaffer wants to work with and start making a move for them before the WC.

Smit666 - Allardyce is sacked tomorrow according to SSN. I bet you’re over the moon.

I’m now quite excited about next season already!

Read some of the posts about BK and it’s disgusting to read what some people say about him.

He’s always done his best by Everton, he hasn’t done a bad job.

Put your money where you mouth is and invest everything YOU have into everton. I didn’t think so.

It’s easy to slag him off when you’re on the outside. Show some respect.

JDEJones

1.) 29 Apr 2018 17:19:51
Totally agree with you mate, will it be Mr Moshiri next, I ask you.

2.) 29 Apr 2018 23:50:42
Moshiri next? He’s started getting it already isn’t he? This moneys not here, that moneys not there? The Stadium is all a front. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. Some people aren’t happy unless they can moan (hence my moan on here now, haha).

I remember the rubbish Bill got when he didn’t sell to the Venkys (who later bought Blackburn) and look what happened there.
Not sure if he should have a stand in his name in all honesty, but he should definitely be remembered in a positive light. Dread to think where we’d be if it wasn’t for him, or sold us to the highest bidder over the years.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 00:14:14
Yes we have to thank him for turning Everton into twenty years of being also rans, plus a host false promises .

24 Apr 2018 19:44:41
Also just saw on twitter that some fans were discussing a john stones return.

Deffo would for £20-£25m wouldn’t you?

Young English CB.

JDEJones

1.) 24 Apr 2018 19:52:26
Don't think he would even consider it mate, remember all the grief he had from supporters come the end last time.

2.) 24 Apr 2018 20:36:52
He won’t come back here mate.

3.) 24 Apr 2018 21:17:36
Can you imagine Sam buying a ball playing defender lol. Maybe he would put him upfront.

4.) 24 Apr 2018 22:33:25
Yeah I figured. Saw it after I posted.

I wouldn’t mind though.

Not too many years ago I remember a group of fans singing about Rooney getting run over by the bus when Rooney was on the bench for united against us lol.

Now look where he is.

5.) 25 Apr 2018 11:22:39
SA put him in a midfield 3 with Gueye and Sneiderlin.

6.) 25 Apr 2018 12:27:37
No, he'd be one of the wing backs.
Playing behind the full backs so we don't lose. A 1 - 6 - 3 - 1
formation with the back 10 under instructions not to leave their own half
Don't lose, Don't lose. Don't lose our new anthem.

This whole Wiltshire coming to everton makes complete sense to me.

In fact you couldn’t have planned it any better.

On one side you’ve got Barkley who one of England’s most promising players for the future. until all of these rumours started coming out that he doesn’t follow instruction, he has no football brain and he started getting injured regularly. To add to that, his contract was expiring.

On the side you have another of England’s most talently young players in Wiltshire (who is probably on of the few players I would have rated better than Barkley) he’s had his injuries and his criticism, just like Barkley, yet he’s currently fit and on good form.

What makes this deal more attractive is that we could get Wiltshire and £15m pocket money from getting rid of Barkley.

I know we will have to pay a large signing on fee to land Wiltshire but why not?

It’s an upgrade in my opinion.

JDEJones

1.) 12 Apr 2018 09:08:44
Not for me not good skills but lacks physicality and pace we already have a plethora of similar players. Would like to see the left side of the pitch problems resolved as a priority before we start getting more players very similar to the ones we have.

2.) 12 Apr 2018 12:44:21
if you don't watch jack you'd feel like he isn't a physical player, just because he isn't 6 foot tall doesn't make him non physical, he's very fiery.

3.) 12 Apr 2018 17:10:32
Spot on Wblue. That's where most of his injuries come from. He dives in like a hooligan for tackles he probably doesn't need to make.

I live with a Gooner so I watch a lot of his games. On his comeback I was ripping my mate about his tackles. But to be fair he wins the ball back quickly. It's in his mindset to play like that. Napolean syndrome in full effect.

And A fit JW is nothing like any player we've got. he's much better.

4.) 12 Apr 2018 22:30:35
Totally agree, Wilshire has vision, touch and drive, he can open a defence with a first one touch pass, we don't have anyone even close to be anything like him, he's played most of the season and is getting back to his best form.
Players like this don't come along very often, we need to get him on board like city did to start with, and then when we have the attraction of other good players being at our club,

I don’t think Silva was actually sacked as such, I’ve read a few times on here that he was replaced but he’s still on the books and collecting his monthly wages.

So I’m guessing that’s why they want compo and why there is some confusion about why we should/ shouldn’t not pay it.

To sum this up, I’ve just seen earlier replies to my other posts from you which talk about it being too early for me to say Walcott and Tosun are decent players (which they are) Then you moan a lot about SA then in another post you want Schneiderlin sacked hahaha (who’s performed really well the last few weeks and still has a lot to offer)

This mystery man that you want in charge and these mystery players that you want playing for him just don’t exist at the moment. I feel like anything but a 4-0 win and 11 shots on target every week just won’t be good enough for you.

Give him 10 games and see if he can continue to Improve as he has since he took over. Give him another transfer window, see if he can make a few more good addittions to the squad to see if that will help improve us.

We were in a sorry state, now we’re nog quite so bad. “For what end” ppppft. How about you get behind him instead of being negative on every post. If you don’t like what you see and you can’t get behind the team that you’re suppose to support then don’t go to the games, don’t comment on the games. Don’t stress yourself out.

I’d prefer to try continue to support them and get behind the man in charge then he constantly booing and moaning. I can only imagine how boring you are to talk to about these topics.

You’re talking about bowing down to me hahaha what are you on geeza! I haven’t said that. I said you can’t see what slaps you in the face and your posts are evidence of that. You’re always negative. It’s laughable. You need to chill out.

I said I have a good knowledge of football. I do. I don’t look at 2 shots on target and write the game off, the players or the manager. It’s ignorant. It’s a complete lack of understanding the game.

You can’t say the stats are misleading. A stat is a stat. It’s not a stat taken over a week or two, it’s a true reflection of the work we’ve done and if others haven’t performed as you’d expect, it doesn’t discredit our achievement, we’re 5th since Christmas. Only 4 teams better than us.

I Sound like I always defend SA but it pisses me off that some people just can’t see what slaps them in their face.

I’m not a SA fan but he deserves some credit and I for one think he deserves the first 10 games of the new season.

Some people will never agree but to be honest, some of the rubbish I read on here, you haven’t got a clue.

I play a decent standard of football. I understand football well. There are many faults of our team when you compare against Man City but get behind them and support the team you say you love.

I’m pretty sure that at the age of 19, they should be “near” first team football. Of course there might be the odd exception to the rule but look at everyone’s who’s come through our academy over the last 10 years, how many have actually made it to the big stage?

Rooney - he played at 16.
Barkley - pretty sure he was 16
Rodwell - made it big stage, no idea where he is now
Mustafi - won the WC!
Anichebe - don’t know where he is now but did okay for us
Vaughn - I thought this boy was going to be a rocket but never quite reached his potential.
Duffy - not a top player but he’s made it I suppose.

There are probably a few more but none that spring to mind. I guess Richard Dunne and Baines could made it on this list but I have no idea how old they were when’s they broke into their first team squads.

A lot of players like Baxter and anyone that’s 21 or 22 will never make into the first team. Especially when you consider how far they are behind players like Sane, dele alli, Sterling, stones, martial!

Surely we will have to be open minded about perhaps selling players for less than what we value them at?

We could hold out for a top price, no one bids, player sits in the u23s squad for the next 3 years on huge wages and then leaves on a free transfer at the end!

I think we need to, and the players need to accept that we are all losing out here otherwise the player also ruins their career.

There will be laws in force to protect players and clubs. A club holding a player against their will when their wellbeing is at risk doesn’t sound right to me.

I’m sure those players looking to leave will put enormous pressure on the board to either sell cheap or terminate the contract.

In fact the contract probably has something in it to protect players from this circumstance. I have no idea though.

Couple that with them being able to hire the best lawyers in the business and I can’t see SL winning this one.
