According to the BBC we will not be doing anything this window . Looks like the board are already preparing for the championship.
Can things get any worse.

Holy trinity

{Ed025's Note - no..

1.) 31 Jan 2023 17:49:44
I now think that moshing is a big a fukin liar as kenwright oh and sharply your a fuking disgrace also but then again you have only ever been interested in yourself you fuking fraud.

{Ed025's Note - I shouldn’t post this because of the swearing. But I’m going to anyway..

2.) 31 Jan 2023 18:40:28
I wouldn't post anything like that ed. Perhaps delete the words in future. Are team might be low but let's not go lower ourselves.

{Ed025's Note - I can’t get any lower nick. So I make no apologies for that I’m afraid mate..

3.) 31 Jan 2023 19:15:58
Let people express their true feelings in any way they feel fit. Not like the guy actually used a swear word.

08 Jun 2022 20:49:44
Just watching Ireland playing Ukraine and there is a 23 year old kid playing in midfield Mykolo Shaparenko . Absolutely controlling the game, plays for Dynamo Kiev . Just wondering do any of the Ed’s no of premier league interest, in my humble opinion he is going to be a top player.

Holy trinity

{Ed002's Note - Not from the Premier League. From France.}

1.) 08 Jun 2022 22:12:58
Thanks for the reply Ed, looks a decent prospect.

2.) 09 Jun 2022 20:31:57
Isn’t there is a friendly with the Ukraine league side being arranged, might give a good chance to see him.

24 Jun 2021 08:38:02
Getting away from the car crash that is our manager search, watching the euros last night and Renato Sanches was outstanding.
Exactly the type of player we need in midfield . Pace, power and takes on commits and beats opponents . Not saying he is someone we are interested in but would love him at Everton.

Holy trinity

1.) 24 Jun 2021 09:01:41
Yet when he was at Swansea even they didn't want him. Funny old world isn't it.

2.) 24 Jun 2021 11:21:18
Why do our fans see a player have 1 good game and decide he is just what we need.

3.) 24 Jun 2021 11:27:17
He had a rough time mentally moving to Bayern so young for big money, and who would want to move from Munich to Swansea. :)
seems really good since moving to France.

4.) 24 Jun 2021 12:21:08
He was so poor at Swansea he passed to an advertising hoarding in one game.

Whilst he looked good last night wouldn’t judge him on that one performance alone.

5.) 24 Jun 2021 15:14:34
He’s been incredible for Lille

So hardly one performance.

6.) 24 Jun 2021 15:50:13
He’s a quality player. He should never have gone to Swansea as too much was expected of a young player. I wouldn’t use his time there as a yardstick for how he would perform now.

7.) 24 Jun 2021 15:58:34
Agree with Swan, this season he has been outstanding with Lille last season
Was chatting to a colleague at work and he said loads of players will be sold due to the crippling debts the club is in plus the club may be sold!
I am sure loads of clubs will be looking at him.

8.) 24 Jun 2021 16:51:11
Come on guys, he's just not good enough and he's proven that.
It's all well and good praising a handful of performances because you're wetting your pants about a new possible signing, but he's always going to flop in the end and everyone knows it. He's basically repeating the form of Davy Klaasen. Aren't you going to give him the same justification for gash performance and effort as well?

9.) 24 Jun 2021 17:05:34
Klaasen and Sanches play nothing alike, Sanches is still young and physically has everything.

I really don’t get that comparison at all.

10.) 24 Jun 2021 18:04:17
I'm not saying playing style, I'm saying how they completely flopped and were found to be well out of their depth in the Prem. Both move on and get a few good performances in weaker leagues since. It doesn't make either a good player. Yet excuses are made for Renato and people try to justify us signing him.
And btw, "physically has everything" is such an overstatement. The occasional shot from distance that could be a wonder goal if it goes in (which it almost never does) but other than that he is exceptionally mediocre.

11.) 24 Jun 2021 20:13:09
Our fans do it all the time it's pathetic and what's that 1 good season in France in games you never watched but hell that must make him a fantastic player because I watched him play 1 game in the euros and he played well 😂😂 I'm glad some of you guys are not in charge of our transfers.

{Ed025's Note - im with you BMD, show pony who plays when he feels like, we already have enough of them mate..

12.) 25 Jun 2021 09:12:36
I’m not saying we should go for him but a player can flop and then come good in a different set up, team or league or just under a different manager
Memphis Depay, flop at United been on fire since
Vlasic has look good since we got rid of him
Granted it goes the other way as well.

27 May 2021 12:08:25
Hey Ed, just wondering if you have any idea what wingers we are looking at this summer.

Holy trinity

{Ed002's Note - Marcus Tavernier (LW/AM) versatile Middlesbrough youngster that Leicester and Everton have enquired after with other Premier League clubs perhaps interested in getting involved at the right price - having signed a new contract recently, Middlesbrough will look a premium.
Philippe Coutinho (AM)
Demarai Gray (RW) not a CA pick but there might be a real push for him from Everton and Southampton at a bargain price after a short stint in Germany.
Rodrigo Varanda (W/F) Corinthians youngster who has been recommended to Spurs Braga and Everton - not considered good enough for the Premier League.
Hee-Chan Hwang (F) RBL paid €10M to sign Hwang in the summer of 2020 and it has not worked out at all well and they were open to an intial loan in January but they are looking to move him on and have replacements in mind. Yeni Malatyaspor want a loan but cannot afford the wages. There is some interest from the second tier in Germany but previous interest of Wolves and Leicester has gone. It has been suggested by an Austrian "agent" that West Ham and Everton have spoken with RBL about taking the player and that interests RBL - but he has to be seen as a higher risk solution to the others that have been looked at.}

1.) 27 May 2021 15:26:00
Great info Ed, do we know if Carlo and Marcel will be working together on all transfers this summer and how many can you honestly see coming in.

{Ed002's Note - The relationship is good so yes. Everton need to try to keep Olsen, a RB, CB and a S as a priority.}

2.) 27 May 2021 15:33:02
Thanks Ed, brilliant as always.

3.) 27 May 2021 20:29:54
With CB a priority ed does that mean mina is definitely going? I was hoping branthwaite and Holgate could be our back up CBs next summer if mina went. Is branthwaite not considered ready yet?

{Ed002's Note - Yerri Mina (CB) Will be available at the right price. It will be difficult to find a buyer willing to pay a significant amount for him but Fiorentina may offer an option as they look for a Nikola Milenkovic replacement. If Inter were to lose Bastoni, and they are hoping they don't, they might look to him.
Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Blackburn are keen on a loan
Mason Holgate (CB) Everton are open to offers to raise funds.}

4.) 28 May 2021 10:51:21
Sorry RB, CB and S!? We need to overhaul the lot based on last few games. They all think they’re first choices so don’t have pressure to perform.

5.) 28 May 2021 08:08:02
Are we looking for a starting CB ed or is it mainly back up options?

{Ed002's Note - It will depend whether or not Everton can sell Mina - which won't be easy. Else it would be a Holgate replacement I would think.}

6.) 28 May 2021 18:27:43
Thanks Ed. Should be interesting summer.

7.) 28 May 2021 18:35:15
RW and RB are priorities are they not? Carlo himself even saying last friday he wants a winger in badly.

Andre Ayer please someone tell me that this is b. s. . He’s a poor man’s Rondon .

Holy trinity

1.) 31 Jan 2023 10:26:38
One post says Dyche given all the Gordon money. Another states Girdon money gone into the Stadium. Then if rumours are right, we are vack into the Rondon like BS abd Bin rejects bottom. I think Dyche is what we heed but he cannot work miracles. Stay up or go down, BK has to realise he is not the solution, retire gracefully.

2.) 31 Jan 2023 10:58:17
Oh god it’s like the Arteta money all over again!

3.) 31 Jan 2023 11:08:48
De Ja Vu indeed. Also slagging the new manager before he's even led a game. We are where we are - we cannot change the past. Dyche is considered the best man to steady the ship, so be it, let him do his job. If he finishes one point the relegation zone, he'll have met the only important objective for this season. We move on from there.

4.) 31 Jan 2023 11:09:00
Ayew will probably be a back up option. Hope we not relying on over the hill players like when we signed Kenny Sansom 40yr old, Mark Hughes mid 30s, David Ginola mid 30s, Gazza 33-34 ish.

5.) 31 Jan 2023 11:09:43
Not suggesting Ducks is slagging Dyche btw, but the grumbles elsewhere have already begun.

6.) 31 Jan 2023 11:26:45
Thanks JBtoffee. I know my thumbs got in the way. Actually wanted Dyche before Lampard.

7.) 31 Jan 2023 11:28:28
What Grumbles? It happens to be a footy forum you are the only one 'grumbling' mate, all the others are doing are expressing their concerns chill out already.

8.) 31 Jan 2023 12:14:30
I’m the only one grumbling? About what? Might want to mirror that advice back at yourself mate.

9.) 31 Jan 2023 12:20:13
I wanted Dyche too, years ago, although I remember being in a very small minority, a couple of the EDs gave him a mention round about the same time and as much as I would have preferred him then, I knew in reality he was hardly a shoo in with most of the fans, I am talking before Carlo.
I think we should be grateful because IMO he is one of very few capable managers out there that would relish this job.

10.) 31 Jan 2023 12:53:27
So now I am grumbling lol OK, looking in the mirror and all I see is ?? ? but that reminds me I do need to get to barbers . . . ?.

23 Jan 2023 13:47:42
In my opinion Dyche is the obvious choice , we just need a bit of pragmatism to get out of the situation we are in . About 2 manager searches ago many on here were against Howe as manager ( including myself ) because he couldn’t set up a team to defend yet look at Newcastles defensive record . My point being a good manager adapts his system to suit the players he has available and doesn’t try to get them to things they are not capable of . Personally I couldn’t give a Continental f*** if we play a 6 3 1 formation for the rest of the season if it keeps us up .
Relegation could mean financial armageddon and I keep having a recurring nightmare that the other lot take over the new stadium.

Holy trinity

1.) 23 Jan 2023 14:06:25
Agreed Holytrinity. Should have been done weeks ago.

Dyche or Big Dunc only realistic options we have atm.

2.) 23 Jan 2023 14:16:44
How does 9 at the back sound and 1 up front. Get Pickford to aim for a bird in the sky and kick the ball as hard as he can and hopefully we get a flick on or a corner. You like the sound of them tactics.

{Ed025's Note - they are the ones we have been using all season Cheshire.. ?

3.) 23 Jan 2023 14:29:20
So long as it gets us the points cheshire to finish 17th or above I really don't care.

You harp on anti dyche then champion Rooney. c'mon lad. Bottom of MLS. ?

Dyche played to his squads strengths at Burnley and vastly over achieved on a shoestring. He HAS to be 1 of the leading candidates for the job and imo a realistic on, only worry I have is if he actually wants the job.

4.) 23 Jan 2023 14:30:30
Ferguson and Stubbs?

5.) 23 Jan 2023 14:33:01
I wouldn't put 1 up front I'd put him as a defensive midfielder ?.

6.) 23 Jan 2023 14:56:31
Would prefer Rooney managing my Nans care home.

7.) 23 Jan 2023 15:02:14
????.

8.) 23 Jan 2023 15:05:39
Oh the ambition.

9.) 23 Jan 2023 15:31:16
I never championed Rooney mocker. I said if it’s him or Dyche I’d rather Rooney. Tbh I don’t even know you and I’d rather have you as manager than Dyche.

10.) 23 Jan 2023 15:30:12
Saying the board don't want Dyche.

11.) 23 Jan 2023 14:57:03
Yes your right Ed it’s been going on for years I suppose it might as well continue.

12.) 23 Jan 2023 15:43:54
Mocker your worried Dyche wants the job ? he is on the bru at the min he can’t get a job anywhere. Hasn’t even had an interview. If he doesn’t get the job then only other option for him is Doorman in his local pub.

13.) 23 Jan 2023 15:52:02
Ull do for me Chesireblue. ?.

All about opinions and like arseholes everyone has one.

Dyche is realistic imo and in our sorry state of affairs can't see any other realistic target. We ain't got the finances or credibility now to attract a calibre of manager that probably excite us all.

Just need steady ship and try somehow to prevent relegation if means Dyche and his so called style of play so be it. i'd have more faith in him than Rooney with Big Dunc a realistic alternative opposed to Rooney.
All about opinions and time will tell, there ain't a quick cure for this until moshiri sells up.

14.) 23 Jan 2023 17:24:13
All he's done is make a few £s of us by proxy using his occasional connection to the job to score a local radio interview here and there. I've been fed up with him paying his bills, talking about us. Praying he doesn't get interviewed.

22 Jan 2023 09:50:58
Woke up this morning convinced I would see that Frank was gone but still nothing.
Like many on here I really liked him and wanted him to succeed but I’m afraid that ship has sailed. To me yesterday he looked like a manager that had given up, no substitutions to try and change things in the last 15 or 20 minutes just kept doing the same things with no results . In the media Frank says the right things and seems to get our club but obviously he is a better talker than a manager . I think Dyche is the obvious choice now . He wouldn’t have been my first choice but honestly how many of us pooh poohed the idea of Howe who seems to be doing a fair job at Newcastle . I don’t know if anyone can save us at this stage but we have to try .

Holy trinity

{Ed025's Note - we do HT. then our owner comes out when asked about franks future with “it’s not my decision “. Whose bloody decision is it then? Ffs..

1.) 22 Jan 2023 11:04:09
Your getting as cynical as me and skylark ED. Is this you and the rest finally admitting us miserable sids have been right all along. ;-)

{Ed025's Note - I have always been a glass half full person DFS. But this club has sucked the life out of me mate..

2.) 22 Jan 2023 11:04:37
Usmanovs decision ED.

{Ed025's Note - probably..

3.) 22 Jan 2023 11:08:29
The only reason to go for Dyche is if we are prepared for a longer term even relegation. He and his Staff built Burnley top to bottom on a shoestring. They battled and battled every season.

4.) 22 Jan 2023 12:24:13
The reason would be that he knows how to set up a team to get enough results to stay in the league, snd he’s done it with worse players than we have now.

5.) 22 Jan 2023 12:26:23
I would take the ducks, I had such high hopes that the days of being constricted by money were over when Moshiri took over. But it’s turned into a nightmare. I’d take the pre Moshiri days back anyday now.

6.) 22 Jan 2023 14:15:00
We, the comment of not my decision is absolutely laughable isn’t it. He would have been better going ‘No comment’. If the man that interviewed me for a role, who I knew was the owner of the business was questioned on my future only a week after backing me said ‘it’s not my decision’ I’d be updating my CV and looking at Jet2.com and TUI for a couple of weeks in the Sun!
Pathetic.

05 Aug 2022 14:39:10
Have to say I am much more optimistic heading in to this season than I was last year. Tarkowski, Onana and Gana will make us a lot more solid and hopefully Mina will stay injury free as well which will help immensely. Coady on top of this would be a bonus . With Patterson doing well pre season and McNeill and Vinagre we are well stocked in wide and full/ wing back areas . The only black spot is the DCL injury but am sure we will get someone in, I have a hunch it will be Broja on loan . Really looking forward to season.

Holy trinity

1.) 05 Aug 2022 15:46:25
I’m more optimistic because we haven’t got Benitez as manager.

2.) 05 Aug 2022 17:04:34
That is a huge part of my optimism too Woburn but didn’t want to mention he who shall not be named to save myself from the abuse ?.

27 Jul 2022 18:37:24
The signing of Vinagre proves that most of what is in the papers is garbage . He wasn’t even mentioned until yesterday and transfer was basically done within 12 hours . Trust in Lampard and Thelwel they will have more targets in mind.

Holy trinity

1.) 27 Jul 2022 19:14:46
For sure mate none of us know any of our real targets.

2.) 27 Jul 2022 19:31:14
Lol all clickbate, I like how we suddenly get someone without having a clue, or advertising it for everyone to compete for the player. just like the old days!

not a bad signing in my opinion. Would be happy with window if we got him, Diaz and Edouard.

Haven’t seen much of him but he is young and scores a few goals, better than Gomes? . To be honest not very optimistic heading in to the season but willing to give everyone pulling on the shirt a chance and that includes Rafa, hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Agree with the above, played well and deserved a draw . Only issue is with Godfrey now a long term injury and Mina again proving he is made of glass think Coady could be necessary. Also Dele is finished as a footballer at this level, don’t know if there is a penalty for moving him on already due to Spurs but he offers nothing . Onana, Gana and a striker will improve us significantly, think we will have an uneventful mid table finish.

Oh please, if Rafa is a far better manager how could we not win a match under him, I know Lampard is not doing outstanding but we have shown some improvement, individual errors are costing us dearly . As has been said if we beat Burnley and Watford we should be safe.
