Ed 002 are these links to Vitor Pereira true and if so is this Moshiri's advisors choice. What do you think of him as a manager.

Dunc the Drunk

{Ed002's Note - (a) I don't know. (b) It would be the second advisor. (c) Journeyman good for a year or two as the first choice is not keen.}

1.) 06 Dec 2019 11:05:11
With you totally on this 002,also I feel that you need somwone who know the prem when fighting relegation and we are.

2.) 06 Dec 2019 11:23:55
Can you name the first choice Ed? Cough once if its
Moyes!

3.) 06 Dec 2019 11:32:48
Are you able to say who the first choice is? I know you say they aren’t keen but it would be interesting to see who the club are aiming for. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Marcelino.}

4.) 06 Dec 2019 11:57:21
and this is the problem the first choice not keen and plumping for second choice which will just put us back into the same situation we have had over the last 4 years. I would be happy if Brands had the control of our new manager choice and not FM or any of his advisors. What is the point of getting Brands if he can't make the decisions he has been employed to do?

5.) 06 Dec 2019 14:13:28
sa90, if your first choice doesn't want to come then what do you do? wait forever and beg him until he does? you move down your list.

6.) 06 Dec 2019 14:42:14
I have to be honest and feel that nobody stands out but Moyes for 18 months to steady the ship would be good. We know what he does so give 18 months to organise the club then maybe a smothing more adventurous. The important thing is to stay in this league and not gamble.

7.) 06 Dec 2019 16:45:19
Id let Brands make the decision which currently may not be the case. If he decided to go for his second choice then so be it. The earlier post intimated the FMs advisors were putting managers forward not Brands.

{Ed025's Note - to be honest sa it was brands who endorsed silva, he has also signed some pretty average players for us and to be frank has overall been very underwhelming mate, i dont know whether his hands have been tied or not but his reputation has far outweighed his actual effect on us..

8.) 06 Dec 2019 21:01:08
Couldn't agree more👍.

9.) 06 Dec 2019 21:01:36
Eds25 in fairness marcel brands has had a lot of deadwood to clear and we have been unfortunate with injuries with new signings. It will take time to get the squad sorted.

{Ed025's Note - i get that STB but as a renowned director of football you would have thought that he would have brought in a top class striker, a bloody millwall fan could have told him that, and what about our centre backs?...surely he knows they are the pitts so why are they stilll here and why have we not invested in better?, on his report card i would be saying "could do a hell of a lot better 4/10"..

I know everyone is gutted with the result but we have to give Ancellotti the chance to implement his plans. Also this was the fourth game in 10 days for a lot of our players as our squad is threadbare due to injuries, especially midfield, we will come again. Keep the faith.

Dunc the Drunk

1.) 05 Jan 2020 19:58:08
Is that why your called Dunc the drunk 😀.

2.) 05 Jan 2020 20:29:09
Dunc - Liverpool have had far more games than us over the festive period yet they still managed to put out a team full of hunger and desire and wanting to win the match.

Ancelotti will get time as he’s not created the mess it’s just a shame it’ll probably take longer than we all anticipated rectifying the situation as a club we find ourselves in.

I reckon Everton should get Ed002 onboard as he always speaks sense and has highlighted on numerous occasions issues with our recruitment, I know he says he’s a rodeo clown but can’t imagine it’d be any worse than some of the clowns we’ve had in previous years.

Fingers crossed, Moshiri, brands and Ancelotti can sort it out.

3.) 05 Jan 2020 21:39:15
Yes but these Liverpool players didn't and were fresh. Don't get me wrong not trying to defend today's performance it was pathetic and maybe we should have played some younger players but we couldn't afford to gamble and lose.
Just saying if we got some players back and a couple of signings we would be a lot more competitive, it's a work in progress and will take time.

17 Dec 2019 12:04:46
The more I read about Ancellotti coming the more excited I get. Apparently had to be assured of the project and that he would be backed in the transfer market to achieve these goals. I know this is paper talk but just so excited 🤡.

Dunc the Drunk

1.) 17 Dec 2019 12:50:26
It's almost there. I an taste it, smell it feel it.

This would be a massive statement of intent and I hope everybody can get behind it. If we can get Ancelotti it's a no brainer - one of the best managers in the world

Go for it Moshiri (and bring Usmanov with him if you can)

COYB.

{Ed002's Note - Statement of intent to whom?}

2.) 17 Dec 2019 12:58:24
A statement of intent to Blues supporters, the players, prospective players, ANO's who I don't really care about.

{Ed002's Note - I would not get so overwhelmed by this.}

3.) 17 Dec 2019 13:43:08
That's perfectly fine Ed002. I'll put you down as a ANO shall I?

4.) 17 Dec 2019 14:25:40
As bw said just a statement to supporters that we have got the best manager available . This allows us to dream that we finally have the manager to get us competing at the top end of the table again. We may be wrong but without supporters dreaming that next season could be our season football loses what makes it great. We can't all support the teams expecting to win the league .
So I for one will be fully behind Ancellotti if it happens and dreaming again.

5.) 17 Dec 2019 16:01:35
I think if we pull this off, could Moshri of got anyone better, we look to much into what people he brings with him, it’s irrelevant he is a serial winner and yes some appointments have been questionable but this is the best of the best, we all say get the best manager we can.

6.) 17 Dec 2019 17:28:59
Ancelotto a top manager with top clubs, problem is Everton are not a top club, can he manage at a lower level?
He never stays long at a club, so not good long term
We have given him a 4.5 year contract cost a lot to get rid if does not work.
Moshiri has once again not thought this through.
Next time Duncan is assistant he must say he wants the job.
So my feelings are mixed.

7.) 17 Dec 2019 17:23:29
Ed02 if you had suffered at Goodison with the likes of Silva, Sam and Koemans brand of football, over the past few years you would not be overwhelmed, however for us Evertonians including Ed25, we will be doing cartwheels if we manage to pull this off.

8.) 17 Dec 2019 17:58:36
Of course DC.

9.) 17 Dec 2019 18:07:58
Trust in Dark clouds to piss on the bonfire. Always pessimistic and negative. We are getting a top top manager, why not embrace it and look forward to a brighter future.

10.) 17 Dec 2019 18:28:12
Let's just stay near the middle then DC. It's where we belong!

11.) 17 Dec 2019 19:22:00
Can we put you down as a maybe then DC?

12.) 17 Dec 2019 20:00:07
Smitty ''maybe'' 'what' that's what I want to know mate?

13.) 17 Dec 2019 20:17:52
BigNev When CFC won the title with Jose, they didn't know what had hit them mate!
'They' had been asleep since 1955 in fact ''they'' thought Titles were only for the more prolific teams/ clubs like Everton Football Club.
Poor sods it must have been 'overwhelming' for them!

14.) 17 Dec 2019 21:17:42
A maybe as in maybe he will support this manager, maybe he wont.

15.) 17 Dec 2019 21:37:08
Or '' maybe'' he will be a miserable 'see you next tuesday' and surprise everyone?

16.) 18 Dec 2019 02:40:12
"Ancelotti a top manager with top clubs" What are you saying DC? That Ancelotti wasn't one of the reasons that these clubs were top clubs. When he went there they were already top clubs and he had no input into them and - really he didn't deserve to win all those trophies?

Maybe we are not a top club at the moment but, if we want to be a top club, who is better to show us what we need to do than that jammy buggar Ancelotti who went to 'top' clubs and made them better and won every trophy with him as manager.

17.) 18 Dec 2019 09:09:03
BlueScouser what DC and ED to some extent is don't get carried away. It is fact Carlo doesn't stay long anywhere and above all else we need stability and competency. Our DoF and new Manager have above all else to be allowed to develope their working relationship without interference from the 'advisors' ego.

{Ed025's Note - the appointment of ancelotti will tell us a lot about the club DFS, his CV is second to none and if he cant turn this club around then we will know that the problems are in the running of the club at boardroom level, lets hope he is the man and we can move onwards and upwards with some sort of success mate..

18.) 18 Dec 2019 09:45:30
Agree with that Ed. Think its the ability to know when to remove the blinkers. Onwards and upwards but first let's get to 40 points, the old ticker needs a rest.

04 Dec 2019 22:51:39
As bad a performance as I have seen in many years. Midfield were non existent and the 3 centre backs looked like they never played football before to be beaten by a straight ball on numerous occasions. Would take any manager who could organise us defensively and get us playing as a team. With fixtures coming up we could be in serious trouble by Christmas.

Dunc the Drunk

1.) 05 Dec 2019 07:12:03
We're in serious trouble already Dunc. A rudderless ship heading into oblivion.

28 Nov 2019 08:05:48
What about Lucien Favre as a shout for manager. Don't know if he would come but by all accounts he is on the verge of being sacked by Dortmund.

Dunc the Drunk

1.) 28 Nov 2019 16:46:26
No way if that’s the best we can get I’d rather have Dyche or Howe at least they can do it in this league even though they don’t have a lavish name.

2.) 28 Nov 2019 17:13:50
Howe or Dyche over Favre, Trueblue? Give your head a wobble.

3.) 28 Nov 2019 23:12:22
Why give his head a wobble?
Howe and Dyche both proven in the premier league.
Favre not and by all accounts if Dunc correct about to be sacked by Dortmund for not getting them competing, surely that’s the same as current manager we have?
Why do you want someone who has no league experience with the current predicament we are in.

4.) 29 Nov 2019 06:50:16
Why Howe? he's on a run of 1 win in their last 8 a run that included Burton, West ham and Watford. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Dyche wouldn't be able to cope and wouldn't inspire bigger name players to the club. For all Brands hard work would players come to clog a ball up a field all day?

Neither of them for me.

5.) 29 Nov 2019 08:23:36
Neither have finished higher than seventh. Saying ‘they know the league’ means nothing when Martinez, Koeman and Silva did too. We aren't Dortmund. They are expected to win trophies. For us, thaf would be over-achieving, which Favre is great at getting teams to do.

6.) 29 Nov 2019 21:44:16
I'd take him too Hugo. In fact he's one of the few names that would excite me if he came to Everton.

25 Nov 2019 11:29:20
First time poster, long time fan.
Realistically who managing in premier league would we take apart from klopp or pep. Rodgers could have been available when we got Silva but don't think many would have wanted him. Think the way to go is what Chelsea did and get relatively inexperienced ex player. This suggests Arteta or one from left field Lee Carley. A highly respected coach who is with England U21 setup at the moment . Might be ok working with a dof . Would love Poch or Gallardo from River Plate but that's not going to happen.

Dunc the Drunk

1.) 25 Nov 2019 11:50:45
Sensible post that mate. Have to admit I discounted Rodgers thinking he had taken the easy way out at Celtic and boy has he proved me wrong. Any suggestion of replacement at the moment though can only be conjecture as once again Mr Silva's teflon coating appears to have come to his aid.

2.) 25 Nov 2019 12:11:22
Thanks for your reply. According to Sky now we are considering changing the manager. Considering? , have we someone lined up or not. The madness begins.

{Ed047's Note - welcome aboard Dunc

Please don't let us balls this up now, huge statement to get Ancellotti . Up to the supporters to get behind him now and give him the time to put his stamp on the team.
