Ed's do you know if there's any truth in rumours that Monaco are to recall sidibe back from his loan with us.

David2012

{Ed002's Note - Djibril Sidibe (RB) wants out and Everton are very unlikely to take up their option - Monaco have Milan saying they will take him on a loan to buy in January. It would be best for the player.}

1.) 16 Oct 2019 09:22:41
cant blame him, coleman ahs been terrible and he's still not getting a look in.

2.) 17 Oct 2019 08:15:08
How much do attitudes such as Sidibe’s have on other players? Not that i'm blaming him for wantibg out.

{Ed002's Note - Sidibe doesn’t have an attitude problem Hugo. Players are transient employees of the club and it is not at all uncommon to find players unhappy they are not playing.)

3.) 17 Oct 2019 11:09:58
Apologies, I wasnt trying to imply that Sidibe is in the wrong by any means, or that he is unprofessional in his attitude. Just wondering the effect that a player’s attitude has on the squad?

{Ed002's Note - What attitude are you referring to?}

4.) 17 Oct 2019 14:26:18
why would his frustration of not playing have an affect on the squad? every player in world football whose not playing has frustrations of not playing, in every club?

5.) 17 Oct 2019 14:38:48
His wanting out. Just wondered if that kind of vibe affected football teams, generally. isn't Everton-related, just curious from a sports psychology viewpoint.

{Ed002's Note - Players come and go all of the time - from a psychology standpoint he is a transient player - rather like all of the others. There is no vibe being encountered by the other players. Perhaps the occasional damp patch.}

6.) 17 Oct 2019 14:45:21
Damp Patch? Hmmmm, Yea that's my new nickname for DC 😜.

7.) 17 Oct 2019 15:18:07
I understand! I've always wondered about that, ditto players who read gossip about themselves/ team-mates in the paper. Must be a weied dynamic! Thanks as always, Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Few of the Everton players can read so it won't adversely impact them Hugo.}

8.) 17 Oct 2019 20:57:11
🤣 that had me chuckling Ed
Got to say I do prefer to read a player is frustrated with his lack of game time, to me that shows he wants to make a difference and get some game time and not just be collecting his wages warming the bench!

9.) 17 Oct 2019 22:17:59
Enjoyed that toi, Ed! can't imagine its too many that have quite picked it up yet!

According to skysports we have put in a 55 million bid in for zaha with no players put into the deal. Can only see this bid being rejected by palace.

David2012

1.) 28 Jul 2019 13:53:00
Going to be a busy two weeks for us! Ed’s get strapped in for the questions and then fume when people don’t like the signings and the hype of some signings too 😂😂. This is where brands will do his worth 👌🏼👌🏼.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so eddy mate..

2.) 28 Jul 2019 14:41:14
I Love zaha, wanted him when he left Man WHO, when Moyes got rid of him, and we all know why, lol.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 17:28:18
Daily mail say 52 m rejected for Zaha anything on his story Eds.

{Ed002's Note - REgardless of the amount if Everton are not willing to make an acceptable offer they are more or less wasting their time.}

4.) 28 Jul 2019 18:23:44
Daily mail reporting that r bid for zaha has been rejected big shock there think we should switch to new targets that we have a more realistic chance of signing as can't see palace selling for less than 80 mil and if manager wants 4-5 new players we can't afford 80 mil for one player.

17 May 2019 17:24:23
Skysports news reporting we are very interested in mitrovic of Fulham good striker but think we need a more pacey and mobile striker eds do you know if there's any truth to these reports.

David2012

{Ed002's Note - It is possible that Liverpool have joined a growing list of interested sides.}

1.) 17 May 2019 20:21:11
Liverpool now Ed? Hopefully he wants playing time🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry Everton.}

03 Jan 2019 21:59:47
Hi ed's with January here with are desperate need for a striker do you know of any possibility of any coming in and do we really have an interest Porto player brahimi or as that ship sailed so to say.

David2012

{Ed002's Note - I have dealt with the strikers, if Silva wants yet another LW in Brahimi still then I think he is deliberately looking to screw the club over.}

1.) 04 Jan 2019 11:30:22
D2012 ed2 has done a podcast its number 20 he talks about our potential targets and thoughts about what's may happen in this transfer window. the EFC thread is pretty near the beginning.

2.) 04 Jan 2019 11:54:46
How do I find this podcast, excuse my stupidity.

{Ed033's Note - Sharkopod 20 latest 2019 transfer rumours.

3.) 04 Jan 2019 11:57:06
It was between 25-35 minutes into the pod from memory.

4.) 04 Jan 2019 17:23:40
If strikers are hard to get in January and better to wait until summer, then short term we could have done a lot worse than give Defoe a half year loan.

Forget his age Rangers have done a blinder landing him until the Summer.

Hi ed skysports where saying welbeck can leave arsenal and mention us one of clubs interested do you know if we hold an interest in him.

David2012

{Ed025's Note - he has been of interest in the past david and im sure if the deal was right for us then he would be again, he would improve our attacking options so i would not be averse to him coming mate..

1.) 06 Aug 2018 17:24:48
Thanks ed wouldn't mind us signing welbeck either would certainly improve are attack and add some pace only negative would be his injury record.

{Ed025's Note - thats why im saying if the deal was right david, for say £10-£15m and a reasonable wage then its a no brainer for me mate..

2.) 06 Aug 2018 17:50:07
Definitely has a good engine, I'd be happy with him.

I see we are close to signing gbamin from mainz the echo saying he's at everton having medical know. Ed's do you know what the hold up with the moise kean deal is it seems he's supposed to been having a medical for the past few days do you know if there's been any hitches in this deal.

David2012

{Ed002's Note - There is no hold up.}

17 Jul 2019 16:03:04
Daily mail reporting that Barcelona have put a price tag of 55 million on Malcom.

David2012

1.) 17 Jul 2019 16:16:45
Wouldn’t pay that for him, seems a bit rich for a player they bought for 37m and had only a handful of appearances. Saying that it’s not called the daily fail for nothing.

2.) 17 Jul 2019 16:31:57
I have 2 issues with the report. Daily and Mail.

3.) 17 Jul 2019 21:20:59
Don’t think he wants to come to us does he?

03 Jun 2019 13:27:24
Football London reporting west ham are going to up there bid for gomes to 20 million.

David2012

1.) 03 Jun 2019 18:19:24
Prefers a move to us from what I have been reading. Let's hope it's true.

2.) 03 Jun 2019 19:40:49
West ham, last of the big spenders eh?
Surely he's too young and too good for them.

3.) 03 Jun 2019 20:27:36
I heard if that £20 million bid fails they will raise with a further £500 plus a signed shirt from Gold and Sullivan.

4.) 04 Jun 2019 18:16:29
Imagine a hug a thon at West hams ground. You can't see the fans from the pitch let alone hug them.

21 Jan 2019 19:57:57
Bolasie has cut short his loan to villa and is back AT everton then we defiantly won't be bringing anyone in.

David2012

1.) 21 Jan 2019 21:59:24
Niasse out now Bolaise back, Martinez/ Koeman/ Fat Sam/ Silva why is everything at EFC one step forward two steps back. At least I had the eighties.

Keep the faith you youngsters it will come good one day. ⏳⏭️.

{Ed0333's Note - I keep saying this but I would love an Everton team that was strong and a formidable adversary like you were in the 1780’s, sorry I mean the 1980’s, same difference I suppose lol. No seriously two strong teams in Liverpool would be such a boost for the City and English footy in general.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 08:55:21
Is Bolasie THAT bad a player to have as an option down the right?

Granted he’s no world beater, especially since his injury, but he may bring a touch more balance to the side.

{Ed002's Note - He is a LW, Everton already have half a dozen of those.~

3.) 22 Jan 2019 09:11:14
surely just sell him now for whatever we can get to get his 70k back off the wage bill.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 12:28:48
My mistake Ed. I had him down as a RW.

{Ed002's Note - Like most wingers he can play on either side, but he, like 83% of Everton players, is primarily a LW.}

10 Aug 2018 16:38:39
Zouma finally confirmed at last he won't be in squad for wolves no surprise there at least know we have some pace at centre back.

Think Ancelotti would be a great manager for us but just don't see it happening can see Dunc staying till end of season then we look for a manager then we will appoint a manager in summer.

Don't want Moyes back but at least we know what we would be getting where as Pereira looks very similar to Marco Silva and that didn't work out great for us but really don't know a great deal about him we should go for some one with premier league experience I would go for Ancelotti don't see us getting him but would definitely try.

I really don't know much about jorge jesus I think this one is unlikely as we need a manager with premier league experience. 2 Eddie Howe I like a lot think he's a very good young English coach and excellent man manager and his team plays an attractive brand of attacking football but his teams tend to leak goals as well plus could he make the step up to a big club but if where to go down the young manager with good potential then he's got to be in consideration not a first choice for me but worth considering. 3 david Moyes we all know what Moyes did for the club and what we did for him but his recent track record hasn't been brilliant since he left us apart from the stint with west ham ironically but I don't think this is or should be seen anything other than a short term deal till end of season deal as I think we have both moved on and the league has changed but he hasn't
3rd Benitez this would cause a bit of a stir with a lot of fans but I am not really that bothered about that if you look at managers who has experience in this league who has been successful in this league but also in other top leagues in world football you be a fool not to think of him plus the added bonus of having a home on Merseyside as well is a big advantage I know his teams may not be free flowing but the one thing he would provide would be leadership tactical awareness and would make us solid defensively again and would bring players in with a bit more leadership something we have lacked for a good fee years know
4th manager arteta know this is intriguing a few clubs have gone down this route know with great success with former players I wouldn't be adverse to this but it would be a bit more risky but maybe a risk worth taking but think arteta wouldn't become available till summer so that could tie in with a short term deal with Moyes.
Personally I am going to opt for Benitez as he ticks so many boxes that other candidates don't he is what we need at this point and time a strong leader who give the team leadership organisation and tactical awareness ok his teams are not the most pleasing on the eye but for what we need know he is the best option plus the football dished up know is pretty crap any way let me know what you think guys.
