JORDAN PICKFORD went against Everton’s advice to self-isolate after a squad member showed symptoms of coronavirus – as he was spotted watching a boxing event in Durham with a pint.
Absolutely unprofessional disgraceful behaviour yet again from Pickford.
Think his time may be coming to an end with us soon.

Agree . and he really gets on my nerves I just can't take to him never have so I for one would like to see the back of him.

2.) 15 Mar 2020 10:04:39
Ancelotti has said they are not self isolating and no such demand has been made of the players.

3.) 15 Mar 2020 11:47:39
I would still like him gone danny.

4.) 15 Mar 2020 12:23:41
Me too mate, I would love him to mature into a steady, stable keeper, but my gut tells me he has more in common with Heurelho Gomes than he does with Nigel Martyn.

5.) 15 Mar 2020 13:57:36
Read the facts. This is exactly the sort of sensationalism that makes mugs of people. Dare I say, very Sun of you.
Not a single player is self isolated nor has the club instructed any player to do so. The lad deserves some of the jip he gets on the park and that flare up when he went out and almost started a riot (although the facts again are actually sympathetic to the lad as his girlfriend was being horrendously treated by a baying mob of idiots) he had agreed to help out a charity night. He should be being applauded for these sort of character correcting acts of altruism. Instead someone has got their angry, Keyboard warrior gloves on and gone off half cocked. Should delete and apologise for this post.

6.) 15 Mar 2020 18:50:49
Not keyboard warrior at all and certainly not Sun. In light of the crisis that is currently blighting the country and with one of our own players being in isolation wouldn't it be sensible of a 'proffesional' to set an example and not be seen and photographed necking pints at a boxing event. How do you know it was a charity night he was helping out? And surely having been in contact with the first team player who is isolating would it have not been sensible to not be at such events with crowds potentially spreading a virus?

7.) 16 Mar 2020 08:57:46
pickfords even explained his actions saying he promised the event he'd be there. if anything shows he's true to his word.

8.) 18 Mar 2020 20:38:39
I didn't mention his night out I said I would like to see the back of him because he gets on my nerves.

Wow, reported €100m offer from Barcelona for Richy. Can see the player being interested in the move.

Bluescouser82

1.) 29 Jan 2020 17:37:36
It's been turned down. No interest in selling.

2.) 29 Jan 2020 17:54:07
Honestly I'd sell for 95m. I honestly don't think he's that good and we could but two players.
He shows up every now and again and think Gordon will be better.

3.) 29 Jan 2020 18:10:23
He’s quality - hence that’s why he plays for Brazil and Barcelona are after him.

4.) 29 Jan 2020 18:18:23
If its true i'd sell him an buy everton soars identical type of player would still leave us with funds for a cm and with in the ffp.

{Ed002's Note - You perhaps don't understand FFP.}

5.) 29 Jan 2020 19:10:00
If not now, he’d leave soon. hold Barce to ransom, or keep him.

6.) 29 Jan 2020 19:25:23
It’s all nonsense no bid has been received and Sky are just making it up. Like ED002 has said previously the majority of rumours are totally untrue.

7.) 29 Jan 2020 19:34:30
Why would you sell a 22 year old proven prem player that will only go up in value over next few years now, it makes no business sense and certainly not a good footballing decision.

8.) 29 Jan 2020 20:24:52
So explain why this doesn’t help ffp rather then just a flippant comment so people understand in the greater detail you obviously do.

{Ed002's Note - I have not come accross any Everton fans who are able to grasp the mess the club are in financially. There is no point me explaining again.}

9.) 29 Jan 2020 20:41:19
I thought I posted in regards to our ffp which Ed025 agreed with yesterday.

10.) 29 Jan 2020 20:43:41
I am an Everton fan and posted this yesterday, all be it ai missed out the 85% in wages.

I would not get too excited, as covered on previous posts, we are very close to our ffp cap, chances are we will bring Vicenco from Inter in, but have a feeling with no out goings likely, may have to either loan any others, until we can offload a few in the summer and then sign the others in the summer.

Could be wrong and maybe any of the Ed’s can clarify this.

11.) 29 Jan 2020 21:00:58
If they are in the financial mess you suggest, then surely they would be biting the hand off Barcelona right now?

{Ed002's Note - Assured sales need to be done by June 30.}

12.) 29 Jan 2020 21:21:18
Very arrogant Ed 002 if you don’t mind me saying so. Perhaps you should get out more and meet more Everton supporters - you might be surprised.

{Ed002's Note - I spent 226 days in hotels last year - so I get out plenty.}

13.) 29 Jan 2020 21:47:37
Hi Ed, maybe something you are not aware of but recently there was. ‘Rumour’ that Everton May be looking to end their shirt deal with Umbro - given we are clearly looking to maximise all revenue streams as our all clubs, wondered if you may have heard anything a bit more concrete?
- cheers.

{Ed002's Note - They extended the deal less than a year ago - it would be expensive to get out of but that could be offset after a few years of a new supplier. But I am not sure anything is on the cards right now.}

14.) 29 Jan 2020 21:58:00
....

{Ed002's Note - More vegetable matter removed from the site.}

15.) 30 Jan 2020 11:30:49
Thanks Ed 👍.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Mason Holgate signs 5 year deal, that's great news for us he will be some defender in the years ahead.

Bluescouser82

1.) 03 Mar 2020 19:43:32
My opinion he would be far more useful to us stepping out as a DM.

2.) 04 Mar 2020 02:21:49
I happen to agree with DFS but whatever position he ends up with, its great news he has signed a new contract as he has definitely been one of our successes this season.

01 Mar 2020 13:12:21
Team not filling me with confidence today, Gomes is the only plus in midfield but Davies? Would rather have put Holgate in there and put Mina at the back and don't even get me started on the fact Bernard is on the bench and Sigurdsson is on the pitch.

Bluescouser82

1.) 01 Mar 2020 13:37:05
Ed’s could Sigurdsson have a agreement in his contract that he must be in starting XI? Regardless of formation and players available he starts every game 😏.

{Ed002's Note - No, I very much doubt it.}

16 Feb 2020 09:32:55
With the attendances city get for the champions League I thought like many of there so called fans that they were already banned 😂.

Just a thought to ponder, if our neighbours carry on winning and city drop 3 points between now and the derby, they can actually win the league at Goodison! Let's hope city don't slip up, don't fancy this happening.

Bluescouser82

1.) 03 Feb 2020 15:49:46
The way it’s going I can see city dropping more points by then, they look like that killer instinct has gone.

2.) 03 Feb 2020 16:29:11
It’s Goodison under the lights, could go the other way where we stop them winning it at Goodison, stop them breaking the current 49 match unbeaten run and end their invincible season.

Anyone got Wayne Clarkes contact details.

3.) 03 Feb 2020 17:16:32
I'm hoping your right bignev, would be nice to be the team that puts an end to the run.

4.) 03 Feb 2020 22:43:26
their last win at Goodison was back in 2016, before that 2011, whole different ball game at Goodison to playing over the Park, well as they are playing Everton have nothing to lose and give those players a chance to pay back the cup and league humiliation.

We cannot stop them Lifting the Premiership, but we can certainly put a spanner in the works by ending two of their records on the same Day, if they are still undefeated before the Derby, losing their invincible tag and ending their 46 match unbeaten record. Three short of the record.

22 Jan 2020 15:25:47
As much as the result is not what we wanted or even expected after a dominant display, there were signs that CA style can be a success with the right personnel.
Bernard for me needs to play centrally and given the licence to cause danger the same way the KDB does for City.

I can't see us signing a striker in January as prices are always massively over inflated. The summer will be when we see massive changes.

{Ed025's Note - that would not surprise me in the slightest BS..

At the end of the day mathematically they are not champions and could lose all their remaining games and not be champions, therefore if the season is scrapped it's scrapped with no champions and no relegation. If you allow them to be crowned champions then you open a can of worms with regards to european places, relegation places and also promotion issues.
At the end of the day this is about public health which is more important than football and if we have to end the season then so be it, if the country goes into lockdown the last thing on people's minds will be how unfair it was to deny them the title, granted we won't hear the end of it.
People could lose their lives, others lose their jobs due to financial implications a lockdown could cause, football is just a game and should be treated that way.

The linesman has a clear view and doesn't flag and then clearly tells the referee that he was not interfering with play and didn't touch the ball, it's the VAR official who stated that Sigurdsson was interfering with an opposition player being able to play the ball in this case De Gea by being in an offside position, the fact of the matter is if Sigurdsson isn't there De Gea doesn't save that and therefore Sigurdsson being in his line of site should be irrelevant, once again common sense doesn't prevail.

Forget that what I want to know is what he was doing just sitting there when the ball is still live and we are in their penalty area attacking. If he gets up and gets on with play we get a deflected winner with no need for a VAR call.
