A more expensive Walcott. Another arsenal reject. We are supposed to fighting for places against arsenal, not buying their deadwood. Bergwijn would have being a better buy at that price. Still happy with the purchases made. But we are light at the back, and really needed an exciting right winger to cause defences problems. Iwobi is not that player. Would prefer us to play Bernard over iwobi, so not a great lot of point in paying £35m for a bench player.

He's not our first option or mine but let's give him a chance and welcome him to the club if it does go through. I'm always willing to give players a chance. Arsenal fans are split on Iwobi according to my in laws. Some are not bothered and others are gutted.

Iwobi is a good player and needs playing, He was in and out of Arsenal team, we have improved our team, cb was not solved but we have not seen best of Mina yet, we have had a good window I’m really excited to see what Kean will give us.

Didn't think we could make a worse signing than bolasie. Steve Walsh must still be pulling the strings! this guy is worse than lookman and vlasic the business is embarrassing. Would be poor if he cost £10m never mind 4 times that brands has undone all his good work with one desparate transfer.

I reckon he will surprise a few of us. I don't think he is a bad player, young, good energy and will score some goals. Although I agree price is quite high.
I'm loath to moan about this transfer window I think we have done great business. Yes a CB would've been nice but we have 4 on the books, Gbamin can play there as well
Season looks full of promise not doom and gloom.

Gbamin is a better CB than midfield player. and Iwobi when I have watched him at Arsenal has been brilliant. he is now at Everton so that's all we need to know Brands and Silva have seen something in him . they know more than us. so let's welcome him here he is what .23.we are a better team all round this season. just give Theo and Calvert Lew. a kick up the arse and let's go for it.

Having trawled the web it would seem that we’ve agreed a deal subject to a work permit being granted, sosa is currently playing for Argentina’s under 20 team at the World Cup . He may qualify for the work permit under the exceptional skills ( I believe that’s the rule ) as I understand it his agent is flying in to discuss terms, I am unclear if his dad is his agent. The fee is reported at £13m / €15m.

I agree Ed, I'm loving the positive actions by the club at the moment, it's flowing down to 99% of us supporters imo. I'm optimistic about next season. If the youngsters are good enough they will play, simple as that really. I'm all for giving the youngest a go but at what cost? They have to be as good or if not better than what we have to merit shot at it. I'm sure a few will get a crack this season though.
{Ed025's Note - yes kipper i can only see positives mate and believe we are moving forward...bring on the season i say and im really optimistic..

Totally agree Worcester, we have had a great window. Not perfect but we have done some great business. A few years ago we would be hanging on until the end of the window for a surprise signing as we couldn't sign anyone decent. I'm very optimistic about the upcoming season and think we will do better than most expect. We have a great young striker that many will be envious of and some great new additions to look forward to getting to know through the season. I'm happy and thinking positive about our future.
Iwobi I believe just needs game time, he's only 23 and this time next year we could all be saying what a master stroke it was from brands getting him in.
Heads up lads, things are looking great.
