It's too early to mention relegation in my eye, and we have to be positive. One win can make a massive boost to league position and confidence. There are about 10 other clubs above us who have a worse goals against so everything is not doom and gloom. We just need to start scoring and supplying the front men with the service.

Reported interest in Gordon from Newcastle. This season so far he has been dreadful, whether that's because he thinks he is better than he is or whether he had his head turned last summer or whether he just wants away I don't know. Frank is supposed to be able to improve younger players so has he failed in Gordon's case. My view anyway is if a decent offer comes in then sell him.

Calvert Lewin. 2 years ago he was England's second choice striker. Are his injuries behind him now or is it something that's going to be a regular problem. If it's the latter and a good offer comes in then sell him. But we don't know if those that come in will be an improvement unless the service improves. Maupey a classic example.

The next thing is what the club do with the money from these sales, invest in the squad, reduce the debt, pay it to the taxman or waste it?

Players to move on like Keane, Holgate, Davies, which I assume would be simple to offload by selling seems to backfiring because as I'm aware no buyers seem interested. Lot of money assets tied up there and not producing on the pitch.

If Gordon and DCL were sold in this window, that's like selling half the family silver in one go as the rest would be sold in the summer no matter what happens because next season we will be in the same situation with no assets to sell to provide funds for new players. So they have to be very careful with coming and goings.

If Townsend and Garner soon get back to fitness would like to see them given a run, at least we might see some quality deliveries into the box.

Finally somebody has to get in there and give all the players a big kick up the backside, remind them of their responsibilities as professional footballers. Point out to them that those fans who follow them are not on £50,000 or more a week and are faced with job uncertainties, higher food, energy and housing costs. In other words put something back into the club that you are taking out.

I totally agree with everything you say Brian 21. However there is a massive elephant in the room. That's the board and the our reactions in the stands to performances at goodison. These are young men playing for us, flesh, blood, human beings, this toxic atmosphere affects them too. I get it, some of these lads do not deserve to wear the badge, but this is what we have. I now liken this to being at war, we need these lads to come together and fight with everything they have, we have to fight with them, support them, then when or if we are safe, we then take on the board, we did it with Johnson, and we will do it with this shambles of a board.

Goal difference for won't keep us up.
I'd rather win 14 home games 1-0 like we used to and lose 14 away games 6-0. At least we'd have at least 47 points every season.
Our home form used to be decent and our away form shocking now its both that are shocking.

Lamps probably is good with young players as long as they want to improve. I can’t see that in Gordon this season. I think it’s him and not Lampard. If he wants to go then sell him. But I would get that done now rather than lose him in the summer when he will be cheaper as either a championship player or just looking bang average for another 19 games or so.

Regarding us fans. It’s a bit obvious really. We will curse and moan from the stands for now then when the games run down and we’re still looking like relegation then we will line the streets with our blue flairs and cheer the bus as it arrives.

Perhaps if we look at the desperation of it all and cheer out of the team now things might get better as the players will feel like we’re behind them.
