Very tough for the poor lad, but three months is better than I’d have expected. How long was Coleman out for?

True swimmers mate.

I'm no expert but I think a fracture is surely better than a full on break in terms of recovery. Really hope Godfrey is back to full health soon.

{Ed025's Note - not always mate. The ligament damage can actually be worse with a fracture. But good luck to the guy..

Well we’ve made some decent signings so no need to rush things. Take your time and come back stronger. So many players lose their edge when coming back after a break so I hope Godfrey can improve once back fully fit.

Ligaments always take longer than the bone to heal as once they are stretched, you can’t make them smaller again without ops that result in a less stable joint (from my own experience) .

How many nasty/ serious injuries have we had at the club in the last decade? I’d be amazed if any other premier league club has had as many. What is behind it? Is it all just really bad luck?

Fractures and breaks are exactly the same guys. The difference is between Compound/ Open fractures where the bone breaks the skin and Simple/ Closed fractures where it does not. Obviously Compound is more severe as can cause nerve and soft tissue damage.

Correct No Problem, fractures are the same as breaks, just different words for same thing.

Spot on there BR. Had broken leg, recovered, had torn ligaments/ tendons, never quite the same.

Fractured my fibula just above the ankle, no serious ligament damage and I was off crutches and weight bearing after 3weeks. Recovery took me another 12weeks or more before I could start Kicking a ball. Godfrey will get much better treatment so hopefully he can be back training/ playing in 12weeks. Godfrey is an aggressive footballer so I don’t think he’ll change after this injury heals.

Apologies, I stand corrected. Feel even more sorry for him. I still really rate him in terms of potential and it must have been hard for him last season expected to make a difference in a side so full of apathy. I think he was brought down by the lack of quality and confidence around him quite so frequently. Do we know what's up with Mina (this time! ) Ed? I don't want to see any player injured, but Every time he goes off injured he looks like he's trodden in dog muck in his favourite brogues.

{Ed025's Note - we need to get rid of Mina now OHEFB. He is never fit and although I rate him as a player his injury record is abysmal mate..

He is a great player but we need to look at Avery player now as value for money. He's on big wages and doesn't play often. Poor value for money. I can't see us being able to get rid of him due to his injury problems.
