Gueye anyone? At 32 could he still do a job for us? Rumoured to have been offered to us but no idea at what cost.

If for less than £5m then think would be a shrewd signing for a season or two as he’s still got something to offer.

Id say we'd get 2 seasons out of him. Still looks fit and able but then maybe the PL is just a bit too much.
Id like to see him back.

At 32 would he still have the same energy levels? Allan certainly hasn't and he's a year younger.

As what type of player? He's not a natural no6 and once he's over the half way line can't score or assist.
May aswell stick with Alan who equally can't play as a 6.
We need neither a Gana or an Alan we need a natural no6 and another box to box midfielder. Someone with goals and creativity.

Hes homophobic and should gave no place anywhere near our team.

Smit666 I’ve coached at an academy football team for 12 years a natural number 6 isn’t supposed to score goals. They might get the odd one or two but their main job is to protect the defence. They sit and protect while the attacking players do their thing.

Sorry smitt666 think I picked you up wrong my bad forget about that?.

Unfortunately Smitt that type of midfielder would cost a lot more than we can afford.

Need a Joe Parkinson or James Mccarthy. Someone with hunger who gets stuck in and give no midfielders or attackers time on the ball. There's probably a player in championship who would do this job well. Just finding him and getting him to club.

Doubt we could accommodate him unless Alan moves on first. Plus the homophobic thing recently leaves a really nasty optic that we don't want around our club. Swerve this signing I'd say.

I'm not sure what his beliefs on homophobia has to do with anything as that's his own personal belief and he's entitled to it and before anyone calls me homophobic I'm prob the least homophobic person you will ever meet and I would never hold certain beliefs against people.

Sorry but I may have missed the homophobic part, all I remember is he refused to wear rainbow laces or something like that, if that’s what we are referring to then that shouldn’t impact his football career, supporting these initiatives should be a personal choice Not forced on a player to conform.

{Ed001's Note - he refused to play in the games in support of pride two years in succession at PSG. The ones with the rainbow numbers etc.}

It is a really tricky one, I don't think he is homophobic, just a culture thing.
It is like some of the F1 drivers not taking the knee for black lives matter, they said they while heartedly supported the movement but didn't feel comfortable taking the knee. It doesn't make them a racist.

{Ed001's Note - but he has not said he supports the movement, quite the opposite.}

With our luck we'll resign Magaye Guaye! ?.

Isn't it to do with his religion ed001? Not excusing it by the way, just remember (possibly wrongly) that he wouldn't play due to his beliefs.

{Ed001's Note - no. It is to do with his upbringing. It is nothing to do with religion, that is a lie trotted out by homophobes to pretend they are not just bigots.}

As I said, I thought it was put down to religion. Cheers for the correction.
