Just to summarize our January dealings.
Brought in:
1) El Ghazi-loan
Used up one of precious loan openings for a player in a position we did not need and who probably will not play much for us.
2) van de Beek-loan
Not used much and does not appear so far to add much needed quality to the team
3) Mykolenko
Not used much in a position that we have no natural left-back players
4) Patterson
Hardly used in a position were we have a need
and evidently one for the future when we need one now
5) Alli
Only used as a substitute and has had no impact on the team. Has shown why Spurs wanted to get rid
Let go:
Digne
Our best and only left-back let go three days before we sacked the Manager who was the only one who wanted him to go
No wonder we are in such a mess! Who is making the decisions at our club?

El ghazi was a strange one. Wasn't needed and I beleive moshiri got him in after pressure from his agent friend.

Mickey has made a few errors and it does take time to settle in new league (plus he got the war and his family on his mind) , which may also explain Patterson absence. Prem is so much tougher than Scotland.

Look at the players who thrive up there, even young simms and beni are doing really well.

VDB has been ill/ injured/ cup tied last few games but looks tidy rather than special.

Alli makes no sense. Why buy a player with all that furore and fanfare but not play him. He has always been a languid, lazy looking player but surely, like the kids, can't be any worse than what's on the pitch.

El ghazi and VDB may be off in the summer but the others will stay. Frank needs to go back to the old school of doing things.

Stick to 1 formation (433 rather than this 343 that ain't working atm) -
Start the rebuild with the defence, even the goalkeeper, because pickford can have his off days, then defence before moving to midfield and attack.

Can't lose if you don't concede. Then we need to give the kids a chance to learn and develop, with some younger players from lower leagues and abroad. The odd older head mixed in to help them.

Look at Palace, brighton, saints, hammers, for example. Not scared to give kids the chance even if they mess up.

Geoffjohno can't lose if you don't concede, the Alardyce mantra, 8th wasn't it.

Kind of bizarre he is our 2nd most successful manger in recent years.

Yep and they all despised him. Spiteing face comes to mind. Wouldn't have put up with the couldn't care less attitude of this lot.

I think I enjoyed the Sam season the least of all. Horrible football and irrelevant to our situation.

Maybe it is irrelevant but still amusing the most hated manager in our history actually bettered Carlos highest of 10th, matched silvas highest of 8th, I wouldn't and didn't want him near our club but what would you give for 8th now?

Sam was an anathema to the vast bulk of us, saying he was hard to stomach would flatter his tenure to the point of irony.

With that Kind of assessment, Big Sam is also statistically the greatest England Manager in history.
