You couldn't really write it could you?
Everton gets bought by a billionaire who ploughs over half a billion pounds into the club
You'd think great wouldn't you but wait - there's a sting in the tail - Everton are now worse than they were before he bought the club and we are in serious danger of relegation
Why? What happened?
Well, the man who bought the club knows nothing about football (I'm not even sure he knows much about business and he's really just a front man for others)
He hires a DOF but then proceeds to ignore much of his advice and hires managers or buys players on ridiculous contracts.
The managers/ players don't improve the team
The DOF doesn't do the honourable and stand up to him. He stays silent and takes his salary for years until he is sacked
The board doesn't stand up to him
The Chairman brought him to the club. Does he honestly think he is doing a good job and has he ever criticised him in public? What has he done to put things right?
The CEO - God bless her - does great work with Everton in the Community but she's CEO of the football club. I repeat - THE FOOTBALL CLUB. Tell me one thing she has done to improve the playing side of things
The Finance Director - if he's so good why are we in the FFP mess we are in? Because any warnings he might be giving are ignored
The others - anonymous irrelevancies
Can Moshiri change?
No evidence so far. Look at this season
After spending / wasting the half billion pounds over 5 years he calls for a review. It took him over 5 years to notice something might be wrong! But the review is to be done internally by the Board that has failed alongside him and hasn't the greatest record (or any record) in telling him hard truths
Hires Rafa - a manager well past his better days and unwanted by the rest of the board
Let's Rafa get rid of James who was our main source of creativity but also on a ridiculous salary (another mistake)
Oversees one of our worse runs of form/ results
Gets rid of the DOF when he finally, after years, finds his courage and asks 'Is It Just the Players? '
Let's Rafa manoeuvre a situation with Digne that pushes him out of the club
Buys 2 full backs that our current manager didn't even include in in his match day squad. Didn't we need to buy players that would actually play and get us out of the difficulties we are in
Finally sacks Rafa half way into the transfer window and just a week after allowing Digne to be sold with no alternative lined up
You think he has realised his mistakes?

It does make you think why Stan kroenke wouldn’t sell his shares to him at arsenal? I honestly think arsenal have operated better since he left and came to us. Maybe this was the reason for arsenals previous years of bad running and so on.

Usmanov was the main mover in that one and I suspect is also the string puller here.

Don’t you just love conspiracy theories, and this club is rife with them.
