Ok so at the game yesterday with my Norwich mates. Had hoped we would put a shift in but wasn't to be.
Had to sit through constant abuse (mostly friendly) throughout the 90 mins, while listening to chants of "can we play you every week".
Then at to endure an evening of banter in their local pub, which after a few beers turned into them feeling sorry for me. How sad is that.
Home now and seen all the reports on meetings held and Benitez going. But still no news.
Have to say though to all those people accusing the "toxic" fans of causing some of the problems, then you have obviously never been to an away game.
The supporters were there in droves and before the game were very vocal and in good spirits. At kick off they were right behind the team, even after having watched another insipid performance. The people with banners just didn't want Benitez and unfortunately you will always get a few of them.
When Richy scored they got right behind the team again, even the banner wavers. Even my Norwich mates couldn't believe the vocal passion being shown for a team playing so bad.
The other thing I will say is unless you are at the game their are things you see that don't get picked up on tv. Like certain players making little effort to make themselves available, or players heads dropping when a team mate makes a mistake, instead of encouraging them and offering support.
Still we go again, and I can guarantee one thing. Those away supporters will turn up be vocal and try there best to get behind a team that to date don't deserve it.

Woburn, your last paragraph sums things up for me perfectly and has been a problem for many years, a lot of the current squad are very goid at hiding, our movement off the ball is very non existant!

I agree with most of that mate. But there has been an element of toxic support that can't be denied. Even when things started not so bad, there were still quite a few that didn't want rafa. It's obviously not what got him sacked but the pressure was there. His own tactics and subs ultimately got him the bullet but the fans do have a voice, we've seen it with other managers.
As I type this, ssn has just announced of his dismissal!

Well hope he gets the Newcastle job and takes Rondon with him. I’ll
