Let's not get too excited now boys, from the six games played we have played four of the bottom five. Now some will say that last season we would have lost some of those games. Which to some extent is true. However, I believe these next few games will be a truer test as to we're we are as a team. Get maybe 8 from 12 in October, and that will be a good return.
Will need this because November is a killer month for us, so hope by then we have Ricky and DCL back, we will need them.

If we’re not allowed to get excited when we’re doing well, what’s the point?!

Well I’m excited we are doing really well, well done lads and Rafa.

Because you all got excited last season at this time, and then spent the rest of the season slagging the players and manager off.
So all I’m saying is take the positives but don’t ignore the negatives. That way when the dip comes, and it will. You will all manage it better, and maybe give the players and manager a break.

If we have our first eleven available we can give any team a run for their money. As has been said many times before that injuries and suspensions is what kills us since our squad is thin. United away is going to be difficult but then we have two weeks to get the inured back before two home games.

Agree Woburn give it a couple of weeks and the same people praising the team will be moaning about them. Me included, we do it every season. For example GB your lauding the team yet only the other day you gave a list of four or five players who in your words were bleeding the club dry.

Yep Brassington I named Gomes Holgate and Davies and none have played since. Only my opinion mind.

Woburn were you anti rafa by any chance? I agree that it's too early to judge how it's looking but seen quite a few nagative posts from you about the style etc. We made a profit in the transfer window, cut the wage bill and have still started well despite that and the fact we've got injuries so in my view it's okay to feel quite positive about things! And 8 points from October would be slightly better than a good return in my opinion. We play United and West ham and would need to either beat one of them or draw against both to have a chance of reaching 8 points in the month!

Woburn I wonder if the RS are saying "Let's not get too excited now boys, from the six games played we have played four of the bottom six".

It is usually the lesser teams we struggle against.
Free hit against United.

No TD I wasn’t anti Rafa though he wouldn’t have been my first choice. But hey let’s see how it goes, as I have said I have been on this site long enough to know you lot turn quicker than milk.

Personally, I will wait until Christmas for a better picture of how far we've come under rafa. That said, I don't think there is anything wrong with fans appreciating or acknowledging that we have made a decent start, in the league especially. Rafa has already won more home games so far than we managed all last season so that is bound to put a smile on some faces.
No matter what happens, we will get some fans that moan and others that won't, that's just the way it is!

I'm going to go full on singing and dancing, screaming and shouting, rockin and rollin, in your face joyous bottom wigglin, arms in the air, eye ball poppin, happy fricken chicken lauding about this club until we get beat!

You should all be doing the same until we have something to moan about again. The good times are what we live for and I'm going to love every minute of us getting three points.

My son and I managed to get to our first game this season after being unable to go to our first two games due to circumstances. It's the first time at a men's Everton game (we go to the women's games as well and saw us against City) since before lock down (was supposed to go to the West Ham game last year before lockdown happened again! ) . I couldn't stop crying at first as it's the longest I haven't been to an Everton game for 42 years. It may sound stupid but its the one constant in my life that has always been there and I've took it for granted. I was that same kid at 4 years old who didn't sleep the night before with excitement. For my wife, she finally had her every other Saturday back again (she doesn't like football, she's a red) .

So I'm not taking it for granted again. I'm going to bloody love every win we have and be a bit more philosophical when we get beat. Because no matter what, win, lose or draw, being an Everton Supporter is the best feeling in the world.

{Ed025's Note - love that john..
