Hearing Seamus has picked up an injury on Int duty, just what we don't need hope it's not serious.

{Ed025's Note - yeah not good that mate..

It’s never a good thing when a player gets injured GB, especially one as experienced as Coleman.

But I’m very interested to see how Rafa deals with this one. Who his preferred choice of cover is? Do we have fringe players with the desire to step in and claim a spot?

It’s an area we were in need of strengthening and by all accounts Rafa wasn’t too fussed on the targets put in front of him. So let’s see how this one goes if indeed Coleman isn’t fit to play.

As of they argued with richarlison about going to the Olympics but let Coleman go on international duty.

Not sure that a 24yr old player going to an under 23 tournament as one of a couple of over age players, having already played in a senior tournament that summer, is quite the same as letting an international captain go and represent his country in a world Cup qualifier to be fair!

Who knows? After seeing what rafa has managed with iwobi, maybe Kenny will turn out to be like cafu? Stranger things have happened.

The club had no choice but to let Seamus report for international duty as it was a world cup qualifier. If they blocked him then he would be sitting out the next game anyway. But don't let facts get in the way of another opportunity to slate the club!

What a nonsense comment. You don't seem to grasped any facts. Everyone talks about how commited Coleman is/ has been. He's 32 and injury prone. When players get to that age they pull out of international duty to focus on club football. Plenty have done it, plenty will continue to do it. Now they are facts. The fact he has got injured proves the point I am making. Why would I be concerned about him playing one extra game? But if you actually read my comment I wasn't slating them about letting him go.

If Coleman wants to play for his country then let him play, it's his choice, but I can't see why they would block Richarlison and his chance of an Olympic gold medal for his country. Brazilians are known for their pride of playing for their country. It just double standards. Shouldn't be one rule for one and one for another. If anything it should be the older, injury prone player, playing games mid season getting the hook. Not a young player playing in the Olympics out of season.

You've lost me with the "one rule for one and one for another" to be honest? Did they not both go and represent their countries? One happened to get injured the other didn't, so be it.

Yeah you've really not read what I've written. Pointless getting in to an argument about it.

Totally lost on the point you are trying to make here, are you saying Coleman should pull out of International matches himself?
If that’s the point then that is just not in his DNA, the man will give his all for club and country while they still want him to
If I have missed the point you are trying to make then perhaps you can clear it up for us.
