James stays so now is the time for him to knuckle down and earn his place in the team. The fella is talented and can create chances with the right movement around him. I just feel with the way Rafa has started with wingers and movement into the box from midfield that he can create chances. If he isn't a starter then surely coming off the bench it's not a bad option to have.

Regarding James. If the guy wants a move in January then it is in his interests to put a fit and firing James in the window. The fat and sulking James is going to attract the same number of takers as he has in this window. Don't know about anyone else, but I could cope with watching him fit and at his best.

At the start of last season people were drooling over the guy, and it was clear he was our most creative midfielder by some distance. Blokes now been told he is not wanted at the club, and people are surprised he has switched off.
We now have a better balance to the team, our right side is stronger since Townsend joined, even though we still didn't secure a new right back. With Allan and Dacoure in midfield we still have a spot behind DCL for a creative midfielder.
