People will bring up James Rodriguez's appearances. or lack of them for everton last season, but his stats hold up against anyones, I can't believe Rafael Benitez is willing to let the one world class player we have leave the club, what's the alternative in the number 10 role? Iwobi? Rodriguez doesn't possess pace, he does however possess vision, awareness, deftness of touch, an eye for a pass, long range shooting ability quality crossing. can anyone give me a list of Alex Iwobis attributes and make an honest comparison.

His passing and ability not in doubt but there is no doubt that playing him on the right encouraged opposition to attack us down that side and the majority of the time it was easy for them. A coach such as Rafa will not accept it abd good for him.

So don't play him on the right, let play 10, manage his games effectively and he will be an asset, we have enough legs in midfield with Allan, Doucoure and Davies etc to cover for his lack of defensive work rate.

I think he is using gray as the number 10 at the minute. Maybe that's his plan for the team. He looked good in that role from what I've seen.

Whilst wouldn’t want to see Rodriguez go it does make sense from a business perspective.

Cost us nothing.
Only a 2 year deal so can leave on a free next year.
Probably on a decent wage.

If we can sell him this transfer window will make some money which we could potentially re-invest and also removes a high wage of the wage bill.

Point being DFS that it worked even less last season when Rodrigues wasn't playing, we still haven't got a new RB and we are nowhere near getting a right sided attacking midfield

Without Rodrigues where's out creativeness going to come from?

Benitez still has time to sort it out but he hasn't yet.
