I really don't go in for kicking a man when he's down, but the time for doing something about Owobi must have arrived.
He cannot beat a man, when put clear, he cannot cross, and never looks like scoring. When tried as a wingback, he could not win the ball, plus don't think I have ever seen him head a ball.
The chances of regaining any substantial portion of his fee seem remote, but a loan to a championship side may offsets some of his wage cost, and hopefully put him in the shop window.
Brand has brought in some fine talent, but he should not go out drinking on a scoring trip, can't think of any other explaination of how we paid 34 Millon pounds for this player.

He's certainly an enigma is iwobi. He always looked decent when playing for arsenal against us but hasn't lived up to the hype since joining. If the wide players we've brought in do the business then I can see the lad leaving sooner rather than later.

The amount of tackles he pulled out of tells me everything I need to know about the guy he has no heart or fight in him and he needs moving on asap.

Pretty unfair on him last night if that is what you are going by.

He played very well in the second half and was the most creative player. 11 passes only 1 not reaching his man and that was a forward ball to Kenny. 3 chances created and all decent ones. No one really played well in the first half.

Let's try and give these players a chance. Judge them after they've had sometime with the new manager. For me he was the best player of the second half closely followed by Broadhead, who I thought was head and shoulders above Kean.

Its hard I know to see some players in a good light after seeing them be poor for so long. For me it looked like a manager has got hold of him who knows what a winger should play like and to be fair that is what Benitez has done in he past.

Stay positive blues.

Hes not quick, can't cross a ball and struggles to beat a man. These are all the attributes a winger needs and he hasn't got any of them.
Let him play the no10 role and then of he can't thread a ball, score a goal or create some chances then he's pretty much done and should take up knitting.

Looks decent when playing for Nigeria, 9 goals in 45 games isn’t a bad return
15 in 149 apps at Arsenal and just 4 from 65 for us, is quite a contrast and not a good return.

It isn't and I'm not his biggest fan but slating for last night is unfair. He now has a new manager who could get the best out of him.

I feel sorry for him to a degree. He has been around but he was young when he came to us. The last two years should have been the time he kicked on but he's had change in managers at our club at a time he needed focus.

If you take Gray as an example, he is very similar. Another player with promise but has never really took off. He is similar in his return with only 26 goals in 267 games and the same age.

These are players that need some stability, coaching and development.

It was the first real pre season game.

Honestly none of them really impressed me but so what? I repeat - It was the first real pre season game

It's not the time to be already slagging off players, Give it a couple of weeks lads. I'm sure we'll find plenty to have a moan at then.

football is based on results and performances and do i feel sorry for iwobi no i don't he can't cross definitely can't shoot god knows when he took on a fullback with the ball he's not good enough how many games does a player need before you say he is a good player he's been poor since he joined and if iwobi could say it on here he would arsenal fans still buzzing with us buying him for 30 mil i would take a loss on him well let's be honest we will no way getting near that 30 mil value 5 mil if we are lucky.
