So it begins, if we're only signing Andros Townsend as a cheap replacement for Bernard, wouldn't it be wise to wait untill he's actually gone first? And also what exactly are we replacing? Goals or assists from the bench? Pace when tha game is the balance? No, Bernard has done nothing for 2 seasons, Anthony Gordon should be taking precedence over anyone else for Bernards spot, let's give him a decent run at the 1st team, its now or never for him.

If Gordon gets overlooked again then I think the fans calling for him to be included need to let it go. If 2 or 3 managers are bypassing him for the first team then there is obviously something missing in his overall ability. The lad struggled at Preston, not sure why people believe he is going to solve all of our problems. If he's good enough he will get a chance, if not then we might as well let him go somewhere else to play.

He didn't struggle at Preston, he didn't fit the way the new manager wanted to play (which was very defensive) . Ask the Preston supporters what they thought of him, before writing the lad off.

BB, I'm not writing him off just pointing out the obvious. He started well at Preston but couldn't get into the squad later in the season, totally agree there. But surely he should be able to do the defensive work that goes with being a winger?
Read what I said again, I wasn't suggesting he isn't good enough. I'm saying that if Rafa doesn't give him a chance then that's a few managers on the bounce so something isn't right with him. That's IF Rafa decides not to use him. I'd prefer to see our home grown players get a chance but only if they are good enough mate.
