I'm an Evertonian Always have been always will be So just like Rooney was accepted back (after kissing the Man Utd badge after scoring that goal at the Park End) I'll accept Rafa/ Everton
One thing I believe Rafa will do is clear the players off that are purely at our club for the pay cheque with no passion for the club or shirt COYB.

I said the exact same thing last week Baz. Yep the majority of fans gave Rooney (one of our own) a 2nd chance after that incident, so you would like to think that the same could happen with Rafa given at the time was managing our arch rivals and to be honest I quite enjoyed the ‘pop’ and would have liked us to have a pop back instead we for years put up with our Managers telling us they where taking ‘knives to gun fights’ - which is embarrassing. And then when they moved to a different club and where trying to buy our players and telling us that we where ‘holding them back’.
The Man has some front taking the job abs he knows he is walking into trouble …. Your not telling me he needs the money so I for one am hoping he has the audacity to succeed and gets us some silverware!

Rooney is one of our own, Rafa isn't he's one of theirs.

However, he's our manager now so we just have to get behind him and the team. I've never once wanted a manager to fail, even Sam and I hate the man.

Lets get on with it. By it, I mean give everything and more in supporting this team and ALL of the players we have.

Some of these players may not be what you want but they are our players, so give everything so we get everything they can give.

I can't wait for the new season. I'm desperate to finally get back inside goodison. I can't wait to hear the roar inside goodison but please, for the love of our club, don't boo, Rafa or the players.

I personally don't care if rafa is on of theirs. he's a much better signing than the re signing of Wayne rooney. Was gutted when rooney left for utd but no hard feelings and I got it, but to then re sign him was the most puzzling stupid pathetic decision this club has made along with chasing sigurdsson for 6 weeks while lukaku left and we had no centre forward. Ultimately it's not the likes of sigurdsson fault re the price tag etc. Some of the stunts the board have pulled in recent years have been nothing short of madness.

toffeeblue, do you agree with any form of questioning of a board or manager? Did you want season ticket holders booted out the stadium when they stayed behind to get rid of Martinez?

There's no question in "boo". I don't agree with it and never have. Have anger, have frustration but booing does no one any favours.

Imagine, instead of booing, we scream and shout in support of the team?

I remember it. Needing a win against Wimbledon. No booing, no negativity, just a whole stadium in one voice trying to give that extra but of support. When that final whistle blew, my god, you'd have thought we'd won the league!

We've become such a negative home support. What happened to Martinez, shocked me. A supporter running on the pitch to him, booing even at 0-0, abuse hurled at him was completely unjustified. But that's the culture today. Shame really.

I remember that Wimbledon game well BlueJohn. The side was rubbish but the spirit was there!

I agree, booing gets you nowhere. If people want to make a statement, there’s more impact on the chairman if you don’t bug into the merchandise or pay for tickets. Booing just creates a toxic atmosphere which doesn’t benefit anyone but the opposition.

Let’s see how Rafa gets on and if he can help sort out the mess we are in on and off the field.
