Don't want a old has has been manager who once achieved something. Want a young manager who is hungry to achieve.
All those calling for Rafa why? What has he actually achieved these last few seasons? Nothing.
If it's Nuno fine, the guy still has a lot to achieve and if it was Potter good. An up and coming manager who's stock is rising, and who's teams play good football.
If we want to build an identity then we need to steer clear of the has been and once were men.

Could also say the same for younger, up and coming managers. We've tried that before and it hasn't got us anywhere!
Potter? Not good enough, imo. He's done ok with Brighton but I've watched them a few times last season and I wasn't blown away by the style of football. Nuno? Again, not good enough. I think he will be exposed when he hasn't got Mendes or the players on his books. I think this man is vastly overrated, even before he left Wolves and was linked with us.
Rafa has the experience and would stabilise the club. He's better than the two options you've named, mate. I'd take him or Conte or Galtier, all the other names just don't inspire confidence whatsoever.

The one thing i would give Potter is that they actually had a style of Football, we had none and usually looked like a team of strangers.

Galtier and Conte could just as easy look at us and just think no not goid enough.

So you would take Galtier a manager you probably hadn't even heard of till a couple of weeks ago. Rafa would stabilize the club really? What by boring the opposition to death. For Conte see Ancelotti.
As for Brightons style of football, it was light years ahead of our's with so called lesser players. Players I might add who always put a shift in for their manager.
Everyone saying we need an identity, well you won't get it with transient management. But hey let's get Rafa and we can all abuse him when he loses a couple of games. Let's face it we are good at that.

BB, how do you know when I first heard of Galtier? Even if it was this season, that's the same as some who are clinging on to the hope it's Potter. Bet you hadn't heard of Potter before he took over Brighton? See how sad that sounds?
Now, you say they are more attacking yet their goal difference was worse than ours. It's ok to be adventurous but not when it costs you games. He is similar to Martinez imo and I don't want to be on that road again. Defensively, there isn't a great deal between him an Roberto. Potter would be a huge backwards step.

BB, sent last message without finishing sorry. With regards to giving out abuse to a manager, I don't think it matters who takes the job as that's what they will get at some point. As you say, we seem to be good at that!

Potter is an up and coming manager with fresh ideas. His team move the ball quickly and create lots of chances.
But hey let’s make the same mistake as we made before and employ an old man who will be gone within two years.
If people think the atmosphere is toxic at times at the ground. Then can see this going to another level if we make a poor start.
Or we could appoint Portsmouths assistant manager that was.

{Ed025's Note - come on woburn give the guy a chance, not my first choice but i will be behind him 100% mate..
