I really hope we work on our identity no matter who comes in as manager, Marcelo Pjanic are two names touted about, I hope we avoid these ageing stars otherwise we will never get out of the mess we are in!

Agree totally ST, What club do we want to be in 5 years? What type of football do we want to be known for?
Some people might say it's not our business as we are just supporters and don't run the club but without a vocalised vision we will continue to make mistakes. Sure, we might have to deviate off course sometimes but where do we want to end up
Be nice to know that the management know what the vision is but they don't give that impression sometimes and do a poor job sharing it with us.

Glad to hear it Ed, last summer bringing in Allan Doucoure and James did make sense as they were a boost to the playing staff then Godfrey and Nkounkou were more for longevity and the future, although Godfrey also made an immediate impact
And while James is a luxury, Doucoure and Allan are at the height of their game
Marcelo and Pjanic don’t fit the brief for me, we will just end up needing replacements after a season or two!
This is where we need Brands to earn his money so let him get on with it.

I think the dogs of war us more to our identity. None of the flair stuff. We fail at that. But getting stuck in and making 40k fans in stadium get behind us is more to my liking. Give me a Reid, Sharpe or Van Den Hauwe in the team. Or a 90s favourite of mine Joe Parkinson. Flair ain't our strong point. us fans aren't too fussed, but 110% commitment and we all behind that.

I would seriously be looking at any players over 30 and asking what do you offer to the side, and have I got a younger option. If I have then it's time for them to go. that's football.
