It just gets weirder and weirder.

Echo now saying CP have stopped negotiations with Nuno due to his excessive demands

If he had picked CP over us I hope we don't go back to him.

Nuno now favourite for Everton job according to the betting.
He’s gone out to 33/ 1 for palace job having been 1/ 5 last night.
After all the talk yesterday of him going to be announced as palace manager will be somewhat disappointed if we now appoint him, particularly after Galtier links.

What does good deal mean - pay him over the odds?
4-5 year deal so he can be guaranteed a good payoff if he doesn't prove himself and is sacked after 2?
Same for his backroom team which some consider is overloaded

All for a man who, it looks to all intents and purposes, picked CP over us
Thank god I'm not a decision maker at EFC because it would be a quick decision - NO.

Maybe it's all just paper talk I don't know but if was going to CP or not but most fans I have spoken to don't want him.

Whether it's down to him, to Everton or a mixture of the two, I've seen no denial that he had picked CP over us and they could have done that as soon as the rumours started

For me - I don't want him now and I don't see what they can do to put it right.

Apparently he was our number 1 choice but we don’t appoint as backroom staff issues. He then he appears to be nailed on for palace but that falls through allegedly due to his demands.
All sounds a bit iffy

At to that we are then linked with Galtier - a manager that looks like would suit us perfectly.

Almost like on bullseye - look at what you could have won 😂.

Like good proposition in terms of what everton can offer him he needs time for starters he needs to try get rid of few players that not pulling tress maybe he can have a budget to address few key areas aswell but I would happily support him and give him good few years than likes of howe or Potter.

The thing we've got to remember is that our 'number one' target has only come from the press. When CA first left last week, it was reported that we were wanting to talk to numerous managers. Nuno would have come into this bracket, especially since he had just left another premier league team.
Many of the names are coming from sites like ssn and, let's be honest, they profit from throwing names in the hat on a daily basis and fans go to their betting site for a punt! Yes, I'm a sceltical old t*at!
From a personal perspective, I don't want Nuno to become manager and really hope he's screwed his chances! I hope the links to Galtier are with substance as I think he would be a decent fit for us. failing that, the only other name I can see that would be good for the job is Rafa. Any of the other names that have been suggested don't fill me with any confidence that they will move us forward. Just my opinion on the situation!

Bluepotato - I have seen it reported in press he was one of our targets.
However I’m sure that Ed002 said he was our number one target and he’s very knowledgeable when it comes to things like this.

Gingerdan, unless I hear it straight from the club then it's all speculation to me mate. I don't doubt ed002's knowledge, I'm just sceltical as I said! Nuno was one of the first we had contact with but he was never going to be the only candidate. We will soon see mate.
