Apparently Nuno is a done deal.

Reading all the other sites, and talking to other blues, I think it will split the fans and make a lot very unhappy . I know we can't please everyone but I'm not sure it will go down well.

Let’s hope we get stability with Nuno.

Hope so Guernsey I think he would be a great fit for our club, just a pity we don't all think the same.

I can see why Nuno may not be everyone's first choice, however I would love to here a coherent explanation as to why he is a terrible choice, or at least why any other candidate is so much of a better choice.

All have pros and cons. Only time will tell if the choice we make is right. But Nuno feels a fairly safe choice, and perhaps that's what we need right now.

What I personally like about Nuno is he has a vision, and a plan. One which was derailed massively by some key injuries this season, imagine where we would have finished if DCL was injured so early in the season as Jimenez. He also can attract young talented players via his connections - and with us being in theory a bigger draw than Wolves, may prove even more fruitful for us than it has for them.

What I don't like, is that his aim was to turn a side who is good without the ball, into one that is good with the ball, and it didn't work. That is what we need so injuries to one side, that's a big question mark.

Based on what I’ve seen Wolves fans saying today, I’m not particularly high on this appointment. Reeks of Marco Silva.

{Ed0666's Note - Why do you say that? Give the man a chance he’s not even had a pre season yet. Silva was atrocious Nuno is levels above him. If Nuno is the new boss he’ll surprise a lot of people. Just think of the Portuguese talent that will flow through Everton.

Did Silva even have one good season anywhere? . Nuno has had 3 good seasons behind him. Out of who’s been linked (taking Conte out of the equation, and let’s be honest anyone who thinks he would come is living in dreamland) he’s the best of the lot and would be my pick.

Because of what I’ve heard from Wolves fans talking to Everton fans on YouTube and Twitter and giving their honest thoughts on Nuno.

Very negative manager, has no plan B, will play his favourites rather than players on form, dull football, ignores advice from people that aren’t his agent when it comes to signing players, which doesn’t bode well for Brands.

The positives seem to be that he’s a nice guy, has prem experience and is a fan of quick players.

Which were ironically the main 3 positives for Silva except swap out “fan of quick players” for “Terrible at defending set pieces”.

The general consensus seems to be that he’s a “safe” appointment, as in, he won’t get us relegated but won’t take us forward. I’ll support the man if he comes in, but the signs from Wolves fans are not exactly great. Before anyone says “well fans of clubs can be bias one way or another”. Arsenal fans warned us that Iwobi was shocking, Watford fans warned us that Silva wasn’t any good, Wigan fans warned us that Martinez didn’t know how to defend. They warned us, but we didn’t care to hear it.

Not to say they are always right of course, but it is good to know.

I thought the Arsenal fans were gutted when Iwobi left?

Whereas a couple of seasons ago they raved about him 🤷🏻‍♂️
And didn’t we look at him a few years back?

I can't see Real Madrid fans being too bothered about what we say about Carlo.

Some were sad to see him go because he’s one of their own. Most laughed at the price we paid for a guy with, and I quote the consensus again “no end product who slows play down and hasn’t got any better since he was in the academy”.

You're speaking to the wrong fans Swan. Thousands gathered outside the ground to say goodbye to him when he left. all begging him to stay. Not seen that for many managers.

The phone ins where flooded with calls hoping he'd change his mind. I'd trust them more than the ones on YouTube and Twitter. Why are there idiots that use YouTube and Twitter as their source of info I don't know.

Because it’s the easiest and most straightforward way to get opinions on players and managers. I’m not saying every Wolves fan is happy he’s gone. Just that it’s not as big of a loss as people make out.

Maybe because they knew that he was the best they could get.
