I think our problem is we ha players trying to play European style football that are just not good enough and a manager who is a great manager with a great track record but has never had a job in building a team that's in such a mess as Everton and I'm not sure where it's all going to end.

I think our problem is we have supporters who think a new manager is a magic bullet which suddenly makes everything right

We have an inadequate squad with players in it who are either not good enough for the Premier League or too young to make the transition

CA has come in and the players he and Brands have brought in have been successes but there is still too much deadwood and getting a squad strong enough to properly compete will take a lot more time, even with the undoubted support that Moshiri has given us

If supporters cannot understand that then take up dominoes because patience obviously isn't your game.

Patience is definitely needed manager wise, chopping and changing hasn't got us anywhere. But think suggesting your fellow fans are short of patience is an odd one - we haven't won a trophy for 26 years, moshiri came in 5 and a half years ago and brands came in 3 years ago. We are not in a better position playing wise than we were 5 and a half years ago and have players tied up on big contracts. I am not anti brands, but presume your comment refers to players he has brought in since ancelotti arrived? Iwobi doesn't strike as a good signing to me for example - and him mina and Bernard take up about 300k a week in wages despite none of the 3 being first choice.

Look like once again I will have to explain to some that i'm not saying that I want the manager replaced and as for patience well you know nothing about me
Looks like once again if you say anything about CA on this website some fans with blue tinted glasses on don't like it.

Don't think many see a new manager as a magic bullet and most realise we have started yet another long term project. Think we would just like to see some sort of progress. The football has definitely got worse - don't think anyone who has watched us play could possibly disagree with that. So the other measure is results - we averaged 1.5 points per game under ancelotti last season so guess by that token 58 points this season would be progress.

Don't understand why BW made a great post what exactly is it that he said that we all don't already know . sounds like he is saying that the Everton supporters don't understand that it will take time? God we have been told this for years, so I wonder why he thinks we all play dominoes 😂😂😂😂.

Come on Skylark get with it - the 13th commandment "thou shalt not criticise anything to do with Everton football club"

Our players are mostly rubbish, it’s as simple as that. Carlo has somehow got a rubbish group of players fighting for Europe in spite of us having a ridiculous injury list and being the only team in the league that has had injuries to every squad player.

Carlo is doing what Allardyce did, trying to get results with what he has at his disposal. The difference being that when Carlo had his first 11 playing did play some decent stuff.
Unfortunately with injuries meaning we have too many of the old guard playing then it is a make do job.

If we get Europe with the injuries and quality of squad we have then it would be an improvement.
Most at the start of the season would have accepted 5th to 8th and that is still possible.

He can’t get them motivated at times though. Don’t know if that’s a player or manager problem.
Big Dunc had them putting in 110%- some of our games there is a distinct lack of energy
Gomes prime example

I do however think 3-4 players in and 3-4 players out may sort a lot of this.

Skylark, personally I thought BW's post was a good one as I also believe that some of our fans have no patience. Some are seemingly seeing nothing but doom and gloom and can't wait to jump on a forum to vent. We have the best manager that we've had in a long time who's about to complete his first full season. If we finish higher than last season, it's a bit of progress in the right direction.
As Swan mentioned, in another great post btw, CA has got us in a position to fight for the euro spots, despite having a ridiculous injury record throught the campaign.
There will be a few leaving and we will bring in others to strengthen the squad over the next few windows. I honestly believe that this is the most exciting time to be a blue since the 80's! With the right players brought in, we will get it right on the pitch sooner rather than later.

I know we have differing opinions but I struggle with the fact that some of you think we haven't really improved. If you think about the first part of the season when we had our best eleven on the pitch we won playing some good football since then we have not been able to put our best eleven on the pitch and have been patchy to say the least. This shows me a couple of things as a squad we are unbalanced and do not have the strength in depth we require. We have a pretty good away record that shows me that CA has the tactical nouse to win games in difficult situations. He isn't prefect and for me does make mistakes with his setup and subs at times. More often than not though he is let down by the players lack of concentration rather than the teams makeup. Its not like its the same player each time either which must be really frustrating when trying to pick the team. The summer window will be crucial for the teams progression.
