So in a must win game we start with one striker and then bring on another midfielder as our first change.
Hate this one up front set up. Need two strikers at home and play a 442. Our goal difference is abysmal because we rely on one striker, so when he's off form we struggle.
And can someone please tell me how Iwobi even makes the squad? Niasse was better than him, and he was crap. But at least he had a go.
Really have no affection for this team at the moment, and would not shed a tear if six or seven of them went.
Totally depressed with this team right now, and can't wait till seasons over.

Trouble is mate 6 or 7 of the Team are simply not good enough.

And you know what GB many of them are our top earners. Siggy, Mina, Bernard to name a few.

I do think the problem lies with the players not being good enough. You can see there’s no creativity or ideas when the likes of james isn’t on the pitch. Remember when Martinez tried to get us to play like Barća with the likes of Hibbert, Gibson and McGeady in the side? CA is managing to get some results with this poor squad and imo, we have overachieved this season.

I am sick of people saying we’ve overachieved. No we haven’t, our football is bloody awful to watch, we have no leadership on the pitch, we are quite possibly the slowest forward playing team in the league, and we are getting worse.
We haven’t overachieved, we have stood still, and so another season goes by but hey we’re still building. Again.

{Ed0666's Note - Carlo out or Carlo in Woburn?

Ed to reply to your question. I am undecided right now. Some of his decisions have baffled me, and I worry about the age of some of the players we are bringing in. Are we going to end up as one season wonders? Highly likely if we carry on targeting 29/ 30 year olds.
And before people start saying, but these players are quality. They where in their day but now their coming to ye end of their careers in one of the hardest leagues.
When Brands was brought in his goal was to reduce the size of the squad, and bring in young talent. However, we now have players running down their contracts, so going for nothing. And have no youth players making it into a very poor first team as starters.
So have we, will we really improve over the long term. Or do we as I say settle for that one big season then start all over again?

{Ed0666's Note - I know this is gonna sound unpalatable for you but even before you hired Carlo I felt you needed Benitez to solidify you and I still have the same thought. Rafa on a a 3 year contract would be a wise decision. He’d bring out the best in DCL, improve the youth set up and although you’re football may not be that of Brazil 1970 he’d make you hard to beat. For me Carlo has no appetite to build a team anymore. Rafa is settled on Mersey side he comes with a lot of pluses

I am not interested in where people have been before. Only interested in them having the ability to develop the club. Little worried about your thoughts on Carlo having the appetite to build a team, because I can’t find an argument against that.
I will be convinced if we start buying good players in the 24/ 26 bracket. Though it worries me when even now we are being linked with Aguero. Another player who has had his best years, and would again be a short term solution.
