Yes this is a rumours site. But what you have put forward is not a rumour. It’s idle speculation generated by people who are jealous/ envious of what the club is trying to achieve.

I know the club as well as anyone and the rumour came from an Everton shareholder friend of mine who is in no way envious of his own club. The truth will out. I'd love nothing more than things to go smoothly with the ground and building work to start ASAP. No idle speculation here.

If you knew the club as well as anyone then you would have known who Colin Chong was. You may also like to know that shareholders like your friend and myself, who hold minimal shares are not privy to the day to day running of the club. So unless your friend is a certain MR Moshiri, I wouldn't worry myself about it. Perhaps you should ask him for a copy of the report sent out to shareholders detailing who is actually involved in the project, and proposed timescales.
Then you would know who the main players are.

More interested what happens on the pitch to be honest than what happens behind the scenes. Was just passing on what I was told. Wont bother posting in future. I notice a similar post to mine on the rumours page and that didn't get the same nasty and sarcastic remarks mine did. Well I live and learn, and will leave the page to the real people in the know.

I think Big Reg, you got the response you did mainly due to how you worded your post. You spoke as if you were speaking in absolute facts, not in rumour.
Personally I wouldn't take too much offense from how people responded as you must know that the stadium is a sore subject for many surely?
The post on the rumours page was simply that, someone heard a rumour and was seeing if anyone else had heard it.

I don't see too much wrong with people posting rumours on a rumour site. What Big Reg posted has been common knowledge, admittedly through social media, text messages etc, for a few days. Not sure why he's getting grief for it though? As he says, the same rumour on the other page doesn't get the same reaction.
So what if someone isn't clued up on people who work behind the scenes, doesn't make him any less of a fan of efc does it? I don't know the name of the woman on reception, might as well stop supporting the club now 🙄
At least you know what to do before posting in future, BR. Study who works for the club and clue yourself up to appease some of the people here. Oh, best send your post to a proofreader before publishing too, make sure it's written in right tone😂😂 some people need to get a grip . Having a go at someone for posting a rumour on a rumour site, shocking behaviour!

Some touchy buggers on here😂. Don't see it as getting grief, just see it as healthy debate. Ignore Woburn I don't think he's got over Burnley game yet😂. Like a lot of supporters he is desperate for something positive to happen at the club.
What I would say is if the government really are looking at plans for regeneration of major cities, then the ground ticks all the boxes. It will happen.

Simply pointing out that if you want to know what’s happening with the ground then read the reports from the club site. Then you would know who Mr Chong was. Yea lady doesn’t get a mention I’m afraid.
And yes I’m still pissed with the Burnley result and with the way the team is playing at the moment. Not sure why we are looking at another centre half when it’s pretty clear we are weak down our right, and in desperate need of a skill full midfielder who can play more than a hand full of games.
Right BR I must surely have given you enough ammo there to have a pop back😂😂.
