How much longer can we go without a cup? Close to 500 million since Moshiri has been in house and not a sniff. He must be wondering how we've p####d it up the wall 😡.

It's not about being a boo boy, it's about jumping at the chance to be as negative as you can be.

Poor performance yes, end of the world? No. The best sides we have ever had have never won this trophy, so have some perspective at least.


For us, this game may have just come at the wrong time, as many have pointed out we do lack depth particularly in the creative/ scoring department. Without enough options to rotate the players looked leggy.

We will not win all our games, we won't play well in a lot of them too but in case you hadn't noticed that goes for a lot of other teams too. But the bottom line is, we are without doubt much better than last season, and that is all most of us expected.

Finally some perspective EFCONE. Yes I’m disappointed with what happened last night but also understand that we don’t have the squad to rotate 9 players and still be strong, and before everyone starts saying it was an average Utd team can you really say that Cavani, Fernandes, Pogba, Telles, Maguire, Henderson are all average players? . There are 3 world class players in there. If you think that’s average you need to give you head a wobble.

Yes it wasn’t a great performance, I think they were running on fumes at the end and hoping for penalties but to say we’ve been lucky the last 3 games is ridiculous, the team have been organised, worked hard and hard to break
down, not to mention we’re missing a few key players now. It’s no wonder they’re a little leggy now, hopefully Sheff Utd will give us the opportunity to rest a couple and still pick up a win.

The fact of the matter is we’re all disappointed but who would have turned down 4th place at Xmas, I think it’s a very respectable position to be in. Merry Christmas.

But we had better players to use as subs, and playing gomes with sigs doesn't work gomes is nothing special don't know what people see in him, and tactics and formation all wrong sorry it was the managers fault.

How was it the managers fault?
Pretty much the whole team had a poor game.
Apart from Coleman and Olsen this was the same line up that we won our last 2 games with.
Disappointing result as would have hoped we could have gone all the way in the cup - however some of the fans overreaction to this result is crazy.

I think what this result does highlight is we are not great without Richarlison. We were still in the game until he went off. When he was banned we lost all our games.

I know DCL is banging the goals in but think Richarlison is actually our key man at the moment.

{Ed025's Note - DCL needs service dan and im afraid that without allan we are a ship without a rudder mate, poor performance without drive and ambition for me but hey we move on..

Disappointed to go out the cup as I thought we had a chance but there are definitely signs were on right track had good start then followed a poor return of results few against teams we should be beating. But we come back with wins against Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal which was not expecting wins from all 3 but we are beating top, but to be in top 4 at Christmas is something I would of taken at start of season.

It's the managers fault because if we won it would also be because of him, and it's not so much the result it was the performance and substitutions that has pissed me off.

He’s not mr Miagi in the karate kid so can’t use his magic to fix allans hamstring and get him back asap.

Was just an all round poor performance from the team last night and we’re all disappointed but to blame Carlo is a bit crazy.

I agree with you Ed 025, DCL gets no service all night so Carlo then brings on Tosun! Where’s the logic in this substitution.

{Ed025's Note - we need to be more proactive going forward uran, we miss allan so much and need another playmaker and a winger to provide some service to DCL, he has been brilliant but he cant do it on his own mate so hopefully the january window will see some reinforcements brought in..
