I know this is EFC site but given it's international break - I just thought I would bring up England.

When is Southgate going to start putting a decent team out. He seems inept and way out of his depth - we have a seriously good team - best I've seen since platt, Lineker, Walker, gasgoine, waddle (what an underrated player waddle was mind - go on YouTube and look at his Marseille best bits - he was better than Gaza in my opinion)

Henderson
James McGuire Mings Arnold

Sancho Henderson Foden Grealish

Sterling
Kane

Fair enough - you can argue about a few - maybe pope instead of Henderson, maybe Walker, maybe chillwell.

But subs of Walker, Pope, chillwell, Keane, DCL, Rashford, greenwood

Why does Pickford, Dyer, Rice, sakka, Barnes, and Bellingham get in to name a few

He needs to start playing his best team rather than magically expecting them to be synced by the time Euros come

Honestly I was thinking yesterday I've supported EFC and England for 35yrs now - surprising how you get used to mediocrity- but I'll be supporting EFC for the next 35yrs too - maybe we might have won the derby by then 🤣.

{Ed002's Note - TAA is not a left back.}

Yes he should play his strongest eleven as often as he can most of them don't play for the same club in the league which in my opinion is the biggest problem with the England squad the great Spain and Germany teams where mainly made up of players that played for the same league teams watching Spain was the same as watching Barcelona.

For all his faults and errors this season for Everton, you will have to search hard for the amount of times Pickford has let England down.

lost a lot of interest in following England when they refused to give Clough the job (a long time ago I know) . Managers we have now are just yes men, might as well let the press pick the team.

Couldn't agree more Brass, England managers seem to come in 3 categories #1 Toady #2 Dull and dimwitted and very much a toady #3 Embawassingly toady.

Venables, big Phil, Erickson, Bobby Robson don’t fit in those categories. Not saying they weren’t a success but not boring
Erickson sex scandal
Hoddle - god scandle
Allerdyce - bribe scandal

Southgate, McLaren, Hodgson all fit the Bill thigh - however I for some reason like Hodgson - think he is a decent bloke.

Hodgson as England manager was awful imo always seemed bloody clueless and tbh a bit on the fraudulent side .

The football. (with Venables and Robson maybe being the exceptions) 'was' boring. Capello was on the FA gravy train and yes turned out to be expensively boring so was Sven really, he trounced the Germans and then went on to score with Ulrika who needs footy eh?
I think Hoddle was, well Ok apart from verging on the paranormal, Big Sam went into 'Delboy' mode and double parked the Robin Reliant lol, Mclaren well sort of encapsulated what this is all about i. e. got the job because he was the right FA material say no more.
Brings us to Southgate, oh yes a cure for insomnia if ever there was. 😄.

Their lies the problem. You remember these managers for all reasons other than football.
