If only this derby would have a crowd. Imagine the atmosphere after this run of form and going into THAT game. Goodison would be an absolute fortress. Shame C.V. coincides with this immense resurgence of the club.

In any case, I am excited for this match for the first time in years. Big reflection on what this team is doing at the moment.

COYB.

It is a shame Tmh. But would we be where we are in the league without the C.V.? We’ll never know if course, but looking at teams like Villa who are flying and Shef Utd who are struggling to get their mediocre players going without 40000 passionate fans, you could assume we wouldn’t be. I just hope, that when we return, we can get behind the players, encourage risk taking without jumping on every mistake. First time in a long time that we’ve had a realistic shout at winning the derby. COYB!

We play much better without fans, the fans who go the game are mostly toxic now, James Rodriguez fails to track back on an overlapping Matt Targett and the whole stadium boo’s him and says he’s not fit to wear the shirt.

Well said JB and Swan.
Agree with what you’re both saying.
Unfortunately I very much doubt we’d be sat at the top of the table if fans had been allowed in the stadium - the fans get on the players backs too quickly and bring a negative atmosphere.
Hopefully when we are allowed back in the stadium we all support the team and won’t boo/ jeer any little mistakes as I think that really impacts in the players and would impede the current free flowing style of football we’re playing.
Not saying don’t boo or jeer if it’s an absolute shocker of a game as we’ve paid our money to be there but I think we need to start be a bit more forgiving with the little things rather than immediately getting on the players/ team backs.
