Thiago is being overhyped to hell at the moment. All this rubbish about being man of the match in the CL final purely because it looked like they were going to sign him. The lad was a passenger all through that game, except for one pass that was part of the build up to the goal, one simple sideways pass to Coman who took an outrageous shot, and one wild shot that went high and wide. Even when substituted, the commentary team noted how he was sub-par throughout.
Blinkered reds though suddenly declaring how he is "easily one of the top 3 MFs in the world". - So he's agead of Kante? De Bruyne? Bruno Fernandes? David Silva? Toni Kroos? Pjanic? Casemiro? Thomas Partey? I could go on but you get my point.
He's a good player yes but ever since his link to Liverpool, they have decided that he possesses every possible skill to God-like standards. I think he will find himself on the bench for the vast majority of the season, not good enough to displace Fabinho or Henderson.

Agree Worcester - good player but overhyped as linked with Liverpool, not sure he’s an upgrade on what they already have in the middle of the park.
He definitely wasn’t man of the match in champions league final either - admittedly he’s a champions league winner - but that’s more down to the team than him alone.

Disagree about Thiago being overhyped injury prone would be a better statement however he is a unbelievable player and will improve their midfield. The guy oozes class and he never gives the ball away an always looks to play the forward ball. Also keeps possession very well, always wants the ball. He will be a improvement to Liverpool’s midfield.

Let’s just be pleased about our midfield and signings. But because he’s signed for Liverpool doesn’t make him any less of the player he is.

Hi I'm from the Liverpool page, came on to see what the general consensus was about James Rodriguez and Allan. Personally didn't think Rodriguez would be good, proving me wrong.

Allan is a great player however. Although stumbling upon the Thiago comment I almost had to reply. How on earth can you say he's overhyped and not an upgrade.

He's a world class midfielder, excellent pedigree and has had an exceptional season with Bayern. Can dictate a game almost by himself and was one of the best players on the pitch against PSG in the CL final.

The comment about him being on the bench is pure ignorance. I know he's signed for a bitter rival but that doesn't mean you can't appreciate an amazing player (the majority are).

Sorry for the rant but I just can't believe what I've read.

Have to agree with you. I think he is a quality quality player and you have got yourself a real good signing there. I still can't believe Barcelona let him go.
