Great to see signings that you KNOW will make an immediate impact and change the way we play for the better, but I must say how much talent we have coming through in the young lads.

That left back looks like a player and the ‘keeper played well too yesterday. Add that to the youngsters like Gordon and Branthwaite, that we already have seen have the potential, and the future looks good for the blues.

Made up to see Kenny have a good game too. I really hope he will have a similar season to Holgate after returning from a season loan away. Would definitely solve a problem at right back for us.

Thought Nkounkou looked good and the lad that came on at right back (John? ) had some good distribution into the box but needs work defensively. Gordon was good but needs to look for the forward pass - Sheedy on the commentary hit the nail on the head in the second half that we don’t need to go back to the keeper so often. Last thing we need is him picking up habits of the midfield from the last season or two.

A bit more positive about the first game, at least now whoever we play in midfield against Spurs will either have to play for their future or a move. Otherwise they show what mercenaries they are.
