It is better indeed, but someone needs to get in Pickfords ear and tell him his career will start to go south if he carries on with his silly mistakes and docile looking grin once he’s made them. There’s definitely a good keeper there but he has to change his mentality if he wants to improve.

I'd go 4312. Have Gomes, Allan and Doucoure in a midfield, James in front and DLC and Richarlison up top. We probs not getting a RW and LW seems weak. No point having them if the DMs can clean up in front of the back 4.

Attacking midfield I s exactly where Gomes should be playing, he is not strong enough in defence. However, what he does have is a good passing range and the ability to move the ball quickly. I believe one of the reasons we haven’t seen the best of him is because our midfield has been so weak.

An attacking midfielder has to get goals and assists. Gomes doesn’t his stats are awful.
I think he will be gone next summer not strong enough for the premier.
