Everton are the 11th highest spenders in Europe and the only team not to have qualified for Europe in that time! Oh to have the 100+million we wasted on Sigurdsson Klassen Bolasie Williams etc and other deadwood to numerous to mention. To think Liverpool got 140 million for Coutinho and then went out and bought Alison and VVD total outlay zilch! now that's how to work the market. To think with Mishary and Usmanovs billions we could have been buying Gabriel 25 ml Alan 30 mil Doucoure 25 ml Sarr/ Zaha 30 mil but because of the constraint of FFP will probably end up with just Alan and a couple of dodgy loan signings just typical of Everton to waste such a golden opportunity. Welcome to the madhouse!

I would much rather be Everton than Liverpool who's reputation is in tatters across Europe from tapping players up and trying their hardest to get City expelled from Europe after city did them a massive favour reg hacking their scouting network yes we have wasted money but Rome wasn't built in a day Moshiri has made mistakes and thankfully it now looks like he has learnt his lesson so let's be patient and give brands the time he deserves to work his magic.

And the money they spent on Skrtl, Mignolet, Lambert and plenty of others was a masterstroke too.

It took Liverpool long enough to get it right in the transfer market, it's a bit short sighted to suggest they haven't wasted cash during the premier league and before. Transfers don't always go to plan, that's just part of football. Walsh was Moshiri's biggest mistake imo but it looks like Brands can get us back on track.

I wouldn't mind having the success liverpool have had and some of there payers if it meant we had a bad reputation with other clubs.
The, way out clubs been managed over the last few years is criminal.

I would much rather be Everton than Liverpool. - that’s where the statement stops imo. 👏👏. To then explain it as reputation being in tatters? Our spending has been nothing short of a laughing stock, manager appointments a joke and displays on the pitch ill fitting for our loyal fan base. ‘They’ have had really bad signings too, but have also won countless trophies and had the pleasure of allowing their fans to travel and watch them in CL finals across Europe - please let’s not compare the x2. We must strive for the best. Let’s not make Excellent the enemy of perfection . But we are somewhat of Excellent at the moment!
