New away kit looks good.

However should we be concerned that it’s modelled by Iwobi, Walcott and Coleman?

Not sure you’d use players you were looking to move on or weren’t first choice players to advertise a new kit.

I may be reading too much into it but seems strange to advertise a new kit with players if they’re not part of next seasons plans.

Could have been worse. It could have been Besic, Siggy and Bolasie.

I heard Riquelme was going to model it but pulled out of the agreement.

Why do you think those 3 will be moved on, Coleman is club captain, Iwobi only recently purchased and I don’t see Everton giving up on him just yet and Walcott his good enough to come off bench but maybe not automatic choice, we need to get rid of players that we know won’t be involved or not get much game time, like Tosun and Sandro. I would say Davis but as it stands he is the only CM that’s fit and able to play week.

I don’t think they’ll be moved on.

Just thought that when it comes to advertising a new kit you usually use your first team squad.

With the criticism Iwobi and Coleman have come in for this season using them in the advertising sort of suggests they’re going to be a big part of the squad for next season.

Iwobi may improve and prove us wrong but Coleman as good as a servant he’s been isn’t the player he used to be and I wouldn’t want him as first choice right back going into the new season.

Walcott as you say does a good job coming off the bench.

Just thought with advertising a new kit would have been good to see Richarlison, Digne and DCL as May suggest they’re staring around.

As I said I probably reading too much into it.

The brand will have some say in the media promos, the more players used the more far reaching the the brand will be. Different players used for the away kit that were used for the home kit is pretty normal. And makes good commercial sense.

Just shows what a dire state we're in - we're saying we won't get rid of Walcott because he's sometimes decent off the bench. We pay him £100,000 per week, being decent coming half the bench (sometimes) shouldn't cut it. For me he is precisely the sort we need rid of to sort out ffp situation - the very highly paid ones that contribute very little are the most damaging.

In the Premiership we and others have/ need a 20 man upwards Squad, from that Squad you pick a match day team of perhaps 17 or 18. Many Premiership sides have players sitting on the bench wages of 100 grand. Walcott is on form a good player, we need these players. Under FFP we need to get wages down and sell players that other sides want and we do not. That is the difficulty we have.

Not sure I agree that "many" premiership sides have players on the bench on 100k a week. The top clubs yes, but they also have far far higher income and therefore not the same ffp issues. We have been diabolical at times this season so if Walcott is that good why have 3 different managers still left him on the bench?

No one is buying Walcott on those wages so we’re stuck with him.
