Purely hypothetical but after being rather ridiculously linked to both who would you all prefer us to sign.

30 yo Bale or 28yo James rodriguez.

Me personally I think I would go for Bale.

Bale is a serious injury risk, but we know what he can do in the prem. Rodriguez though has no prem experience but by all accounts plays well for Ancelotti. Hard to choose to be fair.

Every player is a risk but even if we managed bale or more likely Rodriguez, signing a player like that with ancelotti at the helm would open up more players.

I'd take bale but hed have to take a massive pay cut. rodriguez is a massive gamble and tbh he was bought on the back of a good world cup. never the best judgement of a player. I want belotti but I'm just fantasizing as I've been in lockdown for far too long 🙄.

Rodriguez for me - appears he still wants to play football and would like to link up with Ancelotti plus he’s 2 years younger than Bale

Bake too injury prone plus prefers golf to football and continues to play that whilst injured. Chased the money and that seems important to him. Plus he seems to have gone off the boil and no guarantee he’d be any good coming back to the premier league.
