So Ancelotti is today's pick?
Whilst he has a good CV this has normally been achieved with better teams than ours. Perhaps if we had got him prior to Koeman then with investment we could possibly have been in a good place now.
I have two main concerns. One, his age has he got the energy needed to take this club forward? Two, what sort of transfer kitty would be available given the amount we have wasted.
Could be a massive decision this one.

uno Woburn, I might be the only one who doesn't want him. Yes he's won trophies almost everywhere he's been but to me he doesn't fit what we need. Call me old fashioned but we really need someone who gets the club and kind of has a point to prove.

For me it's Dyche, not a fashionable appointment but I honesty think with a bit of money he could do a real good job and get the lad playing for the shirt.

Ancelotti by all reports is a hands off type of manager but he obviously would be able to attract top players. So when you think about it a combination of Ancelloti and Ferguson as assistant would be a great combination. Of course it will not happen but it is nice to dream.

He works well with the resources he has, he develops and improves players, has certainly bought into Burnley and is involved in a lot of the off the field work that Burnley do, will motivate the players and will instill a sense of pride in the shirt.

I'm not convinced Ancelloti will do any of the above.

good arguement back, but sean dyche is at his level, burnley. , he's bought into burnley because he's been there for 7 years (would be mental if he hadn't) if you want everton to really push up the league and challenge this top six, you thinking dyche is going to do that? would you link arsenal with sean dyche? burnley had that one year they came seventh (if it was for big sam being so negative even we would have pipped them to seventh that year) apart from that they've been mid table fodder mate not forgetting he has also took them down.

{Ed001's Note - and he has rebuilt the club's whole infrastructure. When he took over he had to sell to keep the club from going into admin, yet he took them into the Premier League that same season. Instead of spending the Premier League money on players, he got the club to spend it on improving training facilities etc. He is a proper long term view coach who has worked a minor miracle to turn a dying club into a Premier League regular.}

Look managers work at certain levels, Dyche has his level as has Howe. Remember Mike Walker anyone.
If you want to be a top team you need a top manager, think about it.

would you say he'd be a good fit at everton ed 0001?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, his style of play is a worry, but it is hard to know if that is the way he wants to play or chooses to do so to make the most of the resources at his disposal. The rest of his work is a perfect fit. He gets heavily involved in the community work, is an excellent man manager and motivator of players, but the tactics are something that might not get the fans on board. He does very much suit the profile of Everton as a community club though, even the way he dumped Burnley's fine system for late arrivals etc, to replace it with a 'wheel of fortune' forfeit system which means players have to do extra community work etc. He also has the club very much embedded into the local community there, makes time for the things Everton are known for.

It is difficult to see anyone better suited as a person though. That work ethic, the community spirit, the willingness to put the club's long term future over short term buying, it is perfect for a club that wants to build a long term future challenging at the top end. I know everyone enjoyed the win with a degree of Burnley-style football under Duncan Ferguson, but it is not what fans want as a long term plan from a manager brought in from the outside.}

great view of it mate, there's no disputing he seems a top bloke dyche and i wasnt disputing that. its the footballing side of it, could sean dyche grip hold of a richarlison and make him a better player? possibly, but the football would be hung out to dry within weeks, for me its 9with utmost respect0 very similar to a young sam allardyce, plays basic football there's always this question of oh if they had the players they wouldn't play like that, however i feel a couple weeks into it they fall back in to old habits, its a no from me however see the good points.

{Ed001's Note - I can understand that, it is difficult to see a perfect option out there though to be honest.}
