Bargain when you look at soem of the crazy fees flying about. Good business if they sign him.

I would go with that, even go so far as to say a better defender than Coleman.

think they may take up the option, hopefully kenny comes back and is ready to get involved too.

Godd player but what happens to Kenny when he's back from loan? Apparently he is playing very well. I imagine Sidebe would want regular 1st team football as he is getting now but with Coleman and Kenny in the frame then I can't see us having 3 rb.

Waste of money, he is good but not that good still prefer Coleman.

I’m sure you’re on the wind up Uran. Coleman has been a great servant to the club and probably the best premier league bargain ever and has given us some outstanding performances over the years but last season and this he’s been nowhere near the same player, not as good going forward, poor decision making and is another red card waiting to happen this probably a mixture of age and the injury he sustained.
Sidibe is nowhere near the Coleman of several years ago but is clearly better than the current Coleman.

coleman is completely finished, first time i've seen an everton rightback complete a cross for ages that on sat.

I suspect Seamus will take a similar back seat to what Baines has done this year when Kenny comes back from loan. Uran, he's played only a few games but looks solid enough, he will get better. Unless there's someone in the U9's that you think is better? I'm only pulling your leg, don't take that comment seriously!

It's a paradox maybe, however 'fans' sometimes have to be 'pragmatic' imo Colemans 'heyday' has now passed, it's time to move on.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Kayleigh John caught my eye at Crewe last week he is rapid, full of energy, great skills with the Ball i really like him but he played further foward in front of Ryan Ashley another big talent Only last the first half not sure why was playing really well.

I wouldn’t pay out for Sidibe I think we could fine a better next summer, to be honest I would play Holgate at full back and bring Keane back into the Defensive line up, Holgate is a much better defender than Sidibe, Holgate can also play that killer ball In
Playing Holgate it’s Left back would also give us the extra defensive quality at set pieces in which we badly need.

15.) 11 Nov 2019
11 Nov 2019 17:57:54
Holgate isn't a right back though. He’s awful when played there. Even at CB, he has a lot of work to do.

16.) 11 Nov 2019
11 Nov 2019 18:59:29
We've got to keep Holgate in the cb position, let him master his craft there as, I believe, he's more suited to the middle. Only use him at rb when the need arises.

Play Holgate at full back because he can play that killer ball?
It must have been Sidibes brother who set Richarlison up at the weekend.

Trouble with you Smit is that you can’t read
I said he has better defensive qualities than Sidibe and can also play a killer pass or ball in and has proved this.

Holgate has done well and I do like him. He had a successful loan last season at RB. I still think he may be a little lightweight to be a CB in a back four. I would like to see him in a back 3. Which would allow our fullbacks to attack more.

20.) 11 Nov 2019
11 Nov 2019 21:56:23
I can read Uran, you want him at left back! Do we drop Digne?

Holgate is playing well at CB but you want to bench Sidibe who is playing well and bring Keane back in, who's form is terrible.
Why when we are starting to get a settled team would you want to RIP it up and start again? It's just baffling.

21.) 12 Nov 2019
12 Nov 2019 07:40:33
You have a bad habit of twisting things Smit, Digne was never mentioned so why bring him into it, I know why, you are just trying to undermine my opinion unfortunately makes you look a bit immature, anyway, if you really think that Keane will not be playing in the first team shortly, then think again, he will be back in the team shortly, he is still by far our best defender at the club, I have my opinion and I am sticking with it, sorry it’s not to your liking, let’s see what happens with the defence in the next two or three weeks, then we will see if you opinion is a good one or not!

22.) 12 Nov 2019
12 Nov 2019 08:45:20
This is what you said 'Holgate can also play that killer ball In
Playing Holgate it’s Left back would also give us the extra defensive quality at set pieces in which we badly need'.

You mentioned Holgate playing left back so I assumed you want Holgate to take Dignes place.

Your opinion is your opinion Uran and even if Keane is or isn't our best defender, at the moment his form is far worse than Mina and Holgates.

Not sure what you're upto Uran but with your post on the discussions page it seems like your trying to pick an argument just for arguments sake.

Sorry Smit the left back was a mistake on my wording I was referring to the right back position.
