It’s all about results. So if we go onto win our next four games and climb back into the top half. Would everyone still be happy and give Marco more time and believe in him?

DC need not reply 🤣.

There has to be signs of improvement.
A few results here and there won't be enough.

For me he has to get at least 7 or 8 more points than last season, that should get us into Europe and ensure he gets another season.
Anything less than last season and it will be difficult for him to continue.

Smit I would say that was fair and realistic. We need to see progress with the investment made.

I'd say if he could get 5 points then i'd give him till xmas if we are still in the relegation zone then then I think he would be given the boot.

been saying this now for five weeks, every week he's had chance to turn it round, but his stubborness to use the same tactics same formation and same personal has lost him his job, as it does most managers.

I still think the West Ham game is crucial for Marco to win, if not he won't get many more chances.

I think Wblue hit on the issue of inflexibility atm, and I personally won't start trusting him again until he gets to grips with that .
He has to show that he understands his opposition and then take counter measures if and when needed .
Sorting out set plays is a good as any place to start surely?!

A few good results will buy him a pathway to Christmas. But, having these constant runs without wins is not acceptable. If we have aspirations of silverware we have to stop with this constant cycle of going on a good run, then a lean spell then we all moan and another good run eases the pain.

I want success. I liked Silva but now I am awake to our needs. If he gets to Christmas it’ll be because we have gotten some points so then we must improve constantly from there. I don’t believe that’s a lot to ask. Then I’ll be happy to look at it differently. Right now though, I’m not convinced at all.

We lost our BEST defender from last season (I know he wasn’t ours but. ) and our BEST midfielder, two seasons ago we lost our BEST striker (who had a goal every other game ratio) . Even if we had bought ‘like for like’ replacements it was going to take time. Problem I believe is whilst some of what we have purchased “may” and I pray to my Lord they do - come good . Quite frankly they haven’t. They are all positions in the spine of the team and it ain’t easy!

I agree Smitt. It's still can be done but needs to happen now. The season can still be saved as can Silva's job but the change needs to be sudden and drastic leaving us scratching our heads as to why we had a bad start.

blu1, yes we've lost zouma gana, (and lukaku some what three years ago now) but with that current crop, any dceent manager gets a serious tune out of them, you're telling me that group of players aren't as (maybe better) than what leicester have? difference being the coach has a plan and a structure.

blu1, with players like pickford digne mina gomes delph richarlison bernard kean sigurdsson everton should be right up there giving the fixtures they have had, and to be in the relegation zone with that squad mid october is shocking and quite frankly unnacceptable.

Oh I get it W Blue, I’m trying to justify in all fairness why he hasn’t been sent packing tbh!, I’m trying to get to the point that we constantly seem to lose quality and purchase ‘gambles’ such as Kean, Bernard, Gomes, Mina, Digne etc. and hope that they all turn out to be decent in the Prem. I know most signings are gambles somewhat but when you look at the team sheet and our bench and we have DCL, sigurdson, Walcott, Delph (injured) Coleman (form) for me your asking for something special to try and get a tune out of that lot! Table never lies and the manager will take the fall.
