Another failure at this level is not what we need. Not a case of not taking crap but ensuring they consistently don't play crap by not continually using crap tactics/ strategy.

Ga Gary Monk a good shout dazza, somany do not look at the full record of a managr and why they may have been fired etc. Monk and Rowatt good choices but nobody will agree and no chance of men like this getting the job.
Also many fans will treat these unfashnable managers as they treat Allerdyce, to many 'fashion'fans around.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? You have to be on the wind up now. Monk is not a good manager, he has the morals of Silva, jumping from job to job quickly. He plays terrible football and one good result against a former team and he suddenly becomes fashionable, even though he has shown no ability to manage at the top level. The fall of Swansea City was in large part due to them giving him free rein.

As for Rowett, he makes Pulis look like an attack-minded coach. He is Hodgson with a new wig on. Nothing to do with fashion, it is just moronic to want out-of-touch dinosaurs to take over at a club looking to move up the table. If your club is purely aiming to avoid relegation each season, fine. But if you want to ever do more in the long term, then you have to be forward thinking.}

Dc, You linger in here with an abundance of negativity, champion managers of the ilk of Fat Sam, Monk and now Rowett, wtf?
You were wondering how someone of Silva's ability/ experience managed to get the job at our club yet you want to replace him with the likes of those? Even throwing Arteta's name in the hat, you know, the man who has zero experience!
One day you are going to write a post of how you've been trolling us all on here and that you either don't really like football or that you actually support Utd/ LFC/ Tranmere!
ED001 is right, if we have any intent of improving league positions season after season then none of those you mentioned will be good enough for the job. Ridiculous as usual.

I think Monk is a good manager and could be good for Everton.

ok let's get a manager that plays attractive football like barcelona and real madrid uummmmmmmmmmm done that for the last 6 years what a improvement. too many foreign managers and not enough british no bull rubbish managers.

couldnt have said it better myself ed001, why would you want a championship manager who gets sacked by championship clubs christ almighty.

{Ed001's Note - I can understand dc putting him forward though, as he is not a football club. I was meaning the club would be moronic if they looked to someone like him. If the style of football is irrelevant, then the man to look to is someone who is showing he can manage in the top flight, in Sean Dyche, or someone like the Cowley brothers, who are rising stars. You don't look to someone like Rowett, who has achieved nothing at all.

I have no idea what dazza is on about above, the top managers in the Prem are all foreign. What is getting in someone based on their nationality going to do?}

Swansea were ruined by Monk. Not just on the field but in the dressing room too. The reason for Nathan Dyer going to Leicester on loan is an interesting take on Monks shall we say “personal touch”. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near our club.

Mention3d Cowley brothers few weeks ago buy now they gone to Huddersfield theybwill be there for a while. Must neither rising stars in the lower leagues to look atm if Silva goes.
Why do we all have to look at foreign managers or has beens. Surely there are young British managers who can build our squad. Bowyer is doing well at Charlton with no money. Sol Campbell did ok at macc before realising chairman had no money. Must be others.

I would atm find it very hard to imagine any PL club considering Monk!
Finishing in the PL playoff places is nice, however if this is the case then Warnock would be more suitable if this theory were to be relied upon.
Sometimes it works and others as with both those mentioned, the PL is a bit much for them to cope with .

Are we not getting Monk then?

{Ed025's Note - no..

'too many foreign managers and not enough no bulll english managers' ahaha didn't know big sam had an account on here? the reason for their not being many british managers isn't becasue teams fancy a different flavours, its because none of them are up to the par of being with these top level coaches.
