Can one of the Eds, or anybody else who knows the answer, please provide some insight.
Free Agent Players can only join a new club outside of the transfer window if they had become a free agent before the start of the window i believe.
But after the expulsion of Bury F. C. are the players for them still tied to that ruling? Are they left in limbo until January or allowed to find a new club right now if they feel ready? - i assume any existing contracts they have with Bury are now voided you see.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Correct. (b) No, the PFA has discussed this with the EFL and they have an agreement (yet to be ratified) that as an exception the Bury squad which comprises four professionals, five second year scholars and 12 first year scholars will be allowed to join other sides. The figures may be slightly wrong - but they are as I recall. The scholars would not be an issue but if they are to be signing pro terms elsewhere then they have to be an exception as well.}

Fantastic thank you! Would have been such a shame for players to suffer due to incompetence of a greedy owner. Still can't get my head around demanding millions for a club he bought for just £1 only a few months earlier. Not that he cares, he sold debt very very cheaply to his son in law, clearly just a scam for a quick profit with no regard for Bury's future.

{Ed002's Note - It is not the £1 against "millions" but the purchase price would be based on = (assets + debt + good will) which totals around -£10M. The owner would have accepted less than £1M but any buyer would be obliged to take over the debt. The club has been losing between £2.5M and £3M per year - so fanicially it was in a vast hole it would never be able to get out of.}

The whole bury thing is very sad for the whole of Football and I feel very sorry for there lifelong supporters.
It effects not only players but local buisinesses, staff etc in fact the whole town.
There should be a better proper owners test and I would also like to see the premier league clubs give a lot more money to the teams in the lower leagues.
Yesrs ago we bougt playrs from these clubs but nowadays we go abroad, this is the way of the world. I do however a levy should be made on premier league clubs to do this.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that DC..

On the contrary, it's the premiership teams taking their promising young players for peanuts that plays a part in the teams demise.
