I'm beginning to think that the shortening of window was a big mistake. With International players not returning to their teams until days before the season starts. Teams cannot get offers out and players unavailable for medicals until after tournaments finish. How can anybody make concrete plans to start the season.
Who is for a draft like the NFL.

We have signed Delph and Gomez - Both internationals.

If it was that disadvantageous then the premier league would not have had a majority vote for it.

It was a suck it and see, because teams didn't want to lose players after the season started. However on a personal note its 16 days to the end of window, and no concrete offers from a decent striker that should be a priority.
I reckon we will make deals before the end of the window, but I don't want anymore desperate last minute deals that are just a waste of money!

What’s stopping any PL team losing players once the season starts? It’s only the PL that closes its TW. Other leagues can still buy our players. Is it a suck it and see experiment. I was under the impression it’s a permanent rule. Time is running down I agree, but we have proven in the past that deals made at the last minute can still be astute signings.

Yes shortening the window was pretty stupid especially as it does not apply to the rest of Europe.
