Diego Costa? So torn on these reports. Are reports true that the deal is moving forward please Eds?

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it duaney, if moshiri pulls it off it could see the end of brands at everton as it goes against all his principals mate..

I’m in two minds about it too, if we got the Costa from Chelsea a few years back then it would be an immense signing.

However, the guy is trouble, tail end of his career, doesn’t fit team player profile I’d like to see at the club and if it did drive Brands out would be a massive mistake. The cons outweigh the pros but there is that little part of me that thinks just maybe he could fire us into the top 6.

I thought this rumour was dead the club have denied it, 🤷‍♂️

Big no from me, more trouble than he's worth. Always got a red card in him, bit too petulant for my liking and if it meant Brands even contemplating walking out of the door then the gamble is too risky.

There are two advisors to Mr Moshri that I suspect he takes advice from and yes it could be to the detriment of Brands - who is indeed highly thought of throughout the football World. If Mr Moshri does indeed hold their advice over the man hired to take this forward, it would be an immense surprise but still as they say this is football.

Jesus we have a hero in Duncan Ferguson who was loved, and had as hot a temper as I’ve seen on football pitch.

Not sure what you mean Bill, Scharner said he got elbowed 3 times by Ferguson and ended up swearing in his language, then took a full blow in the stomach for his troubles.

Trueblue, I think having a player with his temperament would be detrimental to us. Especially with var coming into play, Costa likes to play on the edge and he'd get caught out far too often!

Hi I didn’t hear the item on the radio myself but I believe mr moshiri came on talk sports Jim White show and denied any interest in signing Costa.
On the subject of mr moshiri having an advisor giving advice I seem to remember that there was some talk last season of us having Minola Raiola (spelling) working for the club in an advisory capacity so just wondering if it’s him, although Costa’s agent is Jorge Mendes 🤷‍♂️

Bignev, Ferguson is hard, Costa is snide, that is the difference.
