Looking at the form of Gomes, he looks very good quality, some might say it's early Days and also the risk of his injury returning. But some times in life you have to take a chance.

Personally I think we need to strike up a deal in January to try and tie the player down to a permenant move.

No question we need a top class striker, but if Gomes is the only deal we get incoming over the line, That would do for me until the Summer.

Not sure how it works with a loanee, if you can sign them mid season of their loan spell, any Ed's know?

If so then Zouma could also be a possibility.

Risks worth taking. I remember a midfielder who had a penchant for breaking his legs, considered much too risky by many to even thinking of signing. Peter Reid was his name. Whatever happened to him?

{Ed002's Note - Loanees can be signed on a permanent basis at anytime during the loan. Today or tomorrow even.}

Cheers Ed, I was unsure on the loan side of things, glad that’s cleared up for me, let’s hope Barcelona are willing to strike a deal.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect he won't be cheap and he would have to think about other options, but Everton can certainly raise the matter with Barcelona.}
