The Lukaku price seems to be one for debate. So for arguments sake let's start by what we paid which was £28m supposedly so 2 seasons later would you say he has doubled his value with his performances? I would have to say no myself personally. His first touch is poor, his heading ability is questionable and he gets bullied quite a lot by defenders for a fellow his size. So when setting a price we should be happy to get our £28m we paid plus wages paid back and be shot of him. So maybe £35-40m maximum. I don't claim to be an expert just my opinion.

This sort of debate always gets me. It is totally stupid. It is all to do with the length of his contract. ie if he has 6 months left. we might cash in and accept a silly offer. If he has just signed a 5 year deal. then we can hold on to him for any silly amount of money. Unless he goes on strike or disrupts the squad. a bit like the WBA kid last season. So the actual quality of player does not dictate the fee. at least not totally. Lukaku could go for anything between 24 and 60 million depending on how much someone else wants him. How much we want to hold on to him. How disruptive he becomes. An how long is left on his contract.
