Martinez is the stand out candidate.

The players already have the moyes mentality, the defensive, body on the line, organisational ideology. If wigan were half as organised as Everton FC they would not be going down.

Couple that with a manager who knows how to promote fluid attacking football and we all know what's best for EFC. Roberto is intelligent and aspirational and his players love him, for me its an absolute no brainer.

Lets hope we get him, Stubbs, Neville, Ferguson et al would be an absolute disaster, they need to ply their trade with a lower league club first.

Stand out, In what way?. How is he going to push our great club forward he is a backward step. I don't care what raffa said yrs ago at everton, it's about now. I believe he is the right man for the job!.

Lets get this stand out candidate rubbish out in the open he won 37 prem games out of 151 in 4 years at wigan that's an average of 9 per season and he's your stand out candidate let's hope bk isn't on your wavelength or we will be right in the s*** let's change course for a moment he that's martinez says that he has had injuries well everyone else has but if your attacking football dose not include defensive duties I guess that's why he was at the bottom every season of his 4 year spell still think he's your stand out candidate??

Have to say I posted on here the day the moves rumour started. I asked the question "what about Rafa" I have to say I have and will support my team forever regardless of who bill picks. but of all the names being mentioned. based upon performance alone. Jose mourihno, Rafa Benitez, Alex ferguson, Gus hiddink, pep guardiola, ancelloti. they are all in the same group as far as I am concerned. ask yourselves this who is the most possible for everton? That's all I will say. jlaff

For entertaining football it would be hiddink every time.
18 months ago I wonder how many would have been saying Holloway for the same reasons as Martinez.

Dont be ridiculous, if martinez comes then he will bring in new players who have never played for moyes, so how would they have that defensive mentality?
