The Center of midfield looks dreadful at the moment but I think that all other areas of the field look quite promising.
To improve the midfield,
Out:
Fellaini 25m
Heitinga4m
In:
erikson and Alderwiereld 18m
Marrone or jorginho 7m
Moses 10m

With about 8m left in the bank to cover the rest of the transfers plus agent fees. What do you think ed? {Ed025's Note - that would do for me lee..

So:

Out = £29 million
In = £35 million
= -£4 million

Where is the £8 million left coming from?

It's actually minus £6m Dodo.

I'm assuming that we had a bit of money to spend given that we sold finch farm for 13.5m and that we bid up to 13 for negredo in the winter but didn't end up spending it. I'd hope that at least eight months couldgo towards transfers .

We didn't sell FF because we didn't own if. I can't believe how dense some people are. And we didn't have money in January that's why there were no signings.

Another post by someone playing too much Football Manager. Ericsson would only go to a Champions League team and his wage demands would be double what we could offer. If Fellaini goes we'll get McCarthy . And that's the only likely transfer action left. As long as we keep Baines we'll be ok.

To the person who said that we had no money in january, fer came all the way to merseyside for a medical before we realized that there was an issue. We had at least 8 mil then.

We had no money in January. This is why we didn't sign anyone apart from young Stones, whose fee was nominal with potentially some not insignificant add ons. The Fer deal was dependent on Heitinga leaving but Everton miscalculated the amount of time left on his contract believing he had 12 months more than he did so were relying on a higher fee.
I'm not going to get into how I know this but suffice it to say it was someone at the club in a senior position.
