Evening Eds. Is it possible to outline the deal we have for Ali again? Isn’t there something to do with us forking out money to Spurs after x amount of games?

Do you see Everton resolving this situation we find ourselves in (having him on our books and not playing) or will he be with us until 202X?

{Ed002's Note - The club need to resolve it by striking a deal with the player and Spurs. They do have a deal based on appearances but there are other caveats as well.}

Thank you Ed002. Not looking for anymore info on this. As supporters we only get to hear bits and pieces of deals. This has to be the most complicated yet the most humorous deal I have ever come across. He is at the club 18 months with only a year left on his contract yet the finer details still have to be ironed out. Its laughable.

ED002 I don't understand what these other caveats are that mean there are no circumstances that can occur whereby we won't end up having to pay Spurs money. You keep saying that we need to come to an agreement with Spurs over this which indicates that which indicates that you are saying if after his contract ends we haven't paid spurs any money we have somehow broken the terms of the agreement

What Caveat is there in the contract that means regardless of whether he plays or not we owe Spurs Money?

I know the deal could eventually rise to 40 million and I know that one of the stipulations is that we owe spurs 10 million when he plays 20 games. Are you suggesting that the deal we signed with spurs stated he must play at least 20 games regardless of whether he deserves to on merit because he doesn't deserve a place in the team ahead of other players at Everton based on what he has offered so far

I could understand if he warranted a place in the team and we deliberately didn't pick him to avoid paying 10 million but he is a waste of a place at the moment and picking him would make the team weaker.

{Ed002's Note - I am not implying anything about games but Everton will incur costs if he is sold due to the conditions of the contract.}

No one is buying Dele Ali Ed. He has become a joke of a footballer and is going to be stuck with us until his contract ends and then he is a free agent.

If he is not able to get into the first team between now and when his contract ends presumably then we won't owe Spurs anything and he will just have been a big expensive wage ridden bad experience.

{Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen I am afraid.}

Ed you are like a riddle wrapped in an enigma soaked in a conundrum.
Help us out here. Providing he never plays for us again because he doesn't get picked next season due to not being good enough. Then his contract expires and he leaves the club on a free transfer. What, per terms of the original agreement with Spurs, is the amount we would have to give them?

{Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen as I have explained - that would effectively be constructiove dismissal.}

Wow. That means Jean Pierre Gbamin can sue us for constructive dismissal as we haven't been picking him and sent him on loan. Please don't let him know ED.

{Ed002's Note - Idiot.}

Obviously we couldn't just get him for free and sell him on for a profit. There will be an agreement on money owed to spurs if we sell him.

{Ed002's Note - Yes there is. Hence the need to strike a deal with the player and Spurs.}

Let's take the 10 packet of crisps we will get for him and give all of them straight to Spurs. If we can afford to throw a bag in ourselves to sweeten the deal for Leavy, do that too.

Hell of a risk to pay him £100,000 a week. Can he turn so much around so quickly? Take them 10 packets before they reduce it to 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

I think our days of even getting one bag of crisps for him has long since gone. No premier league club will even sign him on a free once he has left us.

That's it sheedysleeg. Looks like we are stuck paying his wages. Very much looks like Dyche is going to assess him during pre-season. He has no choice it seems. Last thing we need is Alli making the headlines in the rags all of next season.

Unless we buy him out of the contract. Can we afford to or can we afford not to?
