Ed, any truth to these Gordon rumours is he likely to go in your opinion? And where are we at with gueye surely we need to be thinking about a contingency now? Are we still in talks for forwards been a very very quiet weekend links wise a bit worrying in all honesty.

{Ed025's Note - we are still in for a striker (or 2) BT. AG wants to stay as far as I know but things can change very quickly mate..

Personally given our history I say we only sell if AG wants to go. I say that because that tells me what kind of man he is.

if any club wants to offer 40 million+, take it. The boy can't pass, can't head a ball, has no range of passes. Yes he has a little bit of pace but most times the defender is more clever than him and if he can't go past the defenders he dives onto the floor. At the moment we need football players not potential football players.

Other problem is we have a habit of selling potentially good players and buying potentially bad ones. 40m earned does not mean 40m well spent.

Why on earth do we want to sell one of our best players? We cannot shop in the same window as Chelsea but you want to sell them the crown jewels? Are Everton now just a development club with limited aspirations!
A lot of people are criticising McNeill well we have Gordon who is already better and will continue to improve under Lampard!

{Ed025's Note - needs must at the moment I’m afraid wakka mate..

Gone very quiet on Gueye, needed a DM for months. Didn't think about what if, when loaning out strikers, 2 games in 0 points. Chelsea would have been 1 or even 3 points with a Striker, lessons learned? Villa we try same setup (no striker) lose 2-1 (the 1 being an own goal) , lessons learned? Forest Next, I'll take my boots!

Ed, anything on gueye? Doesn’t seem to be anything said on him for a week or so now starting to think we won’t land him hence the reason garner and gilmour links have come up again. Really hope we don’t go for either of them.

{Ed002's Note - Idrissa Gueye (DM) Final day January interest from Everton - no time to replace him so no move. Everton have again spoken to PSG about the player and have a broad agreement over the fee but the player has a financial demand which is holding the move up. With Onana signed the need for Gueye has in my view fallen away, but the Everton DoF remains keen.}

Ed025 I totally understand, and like so many I am frustrated with the inept running of this great football club!
Known as the Bank of England in the seventies and a member of the big 6 we are now miles off the top table.
We so need stability and Lampard needs time and money to rebuild, but as a manager he must be frustrated after losing Richy to now have to lose Gordon as well.
He like us is frustrated at the time these transfers are taking, we desperately need to holt the rot and get 3 points this weekend!

{Ed025's Note - I agree wakka mate. Transfers for a club like ours at the moment is very difficult. Selling teams need to bring in players before they let their current players go. So it’s a bit of a catch 22 situation..
