Looks like another bid for Gordon is coming in from Newcastle shortly, personally I think we should keep him he is young and raw and nowhere the finished article but I reackon there is a good footballer in there but the bid this time around is £35 million that's a lot of cash for the lad, what are all your views.

I personally don’t think he will want to move to Newcastle. I get why the Spurs interest would turn one’s head but why would he want to move to Newcastle? At first I thought it would be a bit of a sidewards step but when you think about it, the lads Everton through and through and will have a brand new stadium to play in in a couple of years. It’s a backwards step.
Newcastle are struggling with most of there targets this year cause there’s no real pull is there?

Keep him. He's going to be a fantastic player imo.

At that fee, i think it would be smart business to sell.

In our predicament that brings a lot of flexibility.

For everything i like about Ants character and application, he hasn't shown a great deal of technical ability. I know it was only 1 season but his numbers were average and also inflated by a couple of badly deflected goals.

If you are able to get hold of a player like Onana for the same fee these days, i would sell Ant and get someone in.

He's the beating heart of our squad and an example setter to the rest of the team. He's become a talismanic figure, perhaps a bit too soon but he's the very definition of one for the future. I think to sell him now would be a massively cynical move.

I'd flog him, bit of a headless chicken in my opinion.

Yep he is a rough diamond runs his heart out and not afraid to tackle either.

I read we’d turned down a £35m bid and Newcastle may come in with a higher bid.

Keep keep keep!
Selling would send the wrong message
Well…… maybe sell if they double that offer haha

Look around the league, wolves have that Gibbs White, is he better than Gordon or at a similar level?

They are saying no to offers!

Got to keep him let him come to the forefront this season.

35vis nothing for a homegrown kid who clearly is developing. I've now a bit of faith in our scouting system but we can get much more as he develops.

As much as I agree 35m is tempting and that stats wise he has a lot to improve on. The moment in the Chelsea game when he chased 3 or 4 players across the length and breadth of the pitch and then finally snatched the ball is exactly why we should keep him.
You need players that represent the club and what is stands for or it gets lost. We have lacked that recently and Gordon is bringing it back!

Losing Gordon for 35m would be ridiculous. He has so much potential and the fans adore him. This price would be deemed firesale emergency. We would never be able to replace him with the funds available from this move.

There is not a single part of me that would keep him, yes he’s young, yes he’s Everton but what does he actually do?
Does he score?
Does he assist?
Does he captain?
Does he inspire?

For the money I’d sell and buy depay as Barcelona are strapped.

We never learn our lesson. He's young, very young. He won't peak till 26 to 29. Until then he's learning. We have to keep our young players and play and then they learn and get better.

There's some that don't realise that you don't learn everything on day one. You learn with experience.

Patience people.

I don't think we have the time to wait until he is the finished article. I would take the money.

Whose stats would have been good in that side last season? Who was the 30 goal scorer to boost his assists? Who was setting him up with great chances?
35m is not enough for a kid like him, even if he's not a world beater yet.

We’d kick ourselves if he went and turned into a Foden.

I don't understand the negative messages about gordon he's only 21 takes a player time to improve on his game assists goals and being consistent just doesn't happen overnight just ludacris to even consider selling him look at the other wingers iwobi should be gone grays not consistent mcneil just only joined gordon i believe he's got potential to be a top player plus he's made his way up through the ranks so big no from me to newcastle.

Can't argue with most posts.

He is in danger of becoming the next cadamarteri but given time amd coaching I feel he could improve immensely.

He just needs to improve him decision making and have a but more care with the ball and he'll fly.

I actually think he's more suited to number 10 than wide. He played there for England u21 during the summer and was really good.

Needs to look up more often and be aware of who else is around him.

I’d keep for another few seasons. If he continues to show promise, keep developing him; if he is another Cads/ Ross/ Jeffers, get a decent price for him and invest in the squad.

90% of everton fans "our players need to give 100%"

Gordon ok "here's 110%"

Everton fans "sell him"

Kids still learning local and is as passionate about our club as us, we need to keep players like this to often our youth disappears into obscurity.
