6 weeks left. History tells us the wise skint clubs buy at the end of the window. When all the juicy ones have been fought over and most have done their business. Once that is over, a tonne of players who perhaps at the start of the window may have been holding out for a CL club or demanding too much wages etc will have the choice of a last minute flight to Liverpool or stay for another season on whoevers bench sulking. All of a sudden a few surprises happen. I have not seen 1 rumour yet that is anymore than that. We were never in Zinchenkos deal at any point. How could that have ever worked? Why would he have come to us? Don't cry about the click baits that got away. You're falling for a digital mirage. Patience fellas. We will all be tuned in until the extra hour past window shut on sky and that's just the way it is. With the world cup thrown in, it may even be prudent to hold out to the winter window as the season fails to fully get started anyway and someone who missed the boat may well be itching to get out by then to pastures new. Its going to be ok.

Lampard does not need to assess the players, I and plenty of others on here can tell him who need to be replaced and there are quite a few. Let me start with Rondon, and then their is Holgate and Coleman God bless him, and Keane, and Mina if he continues getting injured every few games. I could go on! I know we can't replace all of them immediately because of our financial issues but hopefully in 18 months or so the squad will look completely different. By now Lampard should know were we need strengthening, it's not rocket science!

Some very sensible comments above yet fans still think we should be buying before squad assessed.

As already mentioned some players returning from loan so will not have been assessed, others returning from injury.

Then those that have been with frank since he came in will still be coming to terms with the change of manager and style of play.

Frank needs to assess the whole squad and see who he’ll play and what positions need strengthening.

There’ll clearly be some incomings but with profit and sustainability rules we have to ensure we buy what we need not who the fans would like.
